Mental health is something we often shy away from talking about–especially in the church. Yet we need to address it head on through the lens of Jesus and scripture in order to move forward toward healing.

Week 1 In our new series. In order to move forward we have to get back to basics. Get back to Jesus. It's starts with knowing God's character. His character of love. Which nothing can separate us from.

Jesus...The greatest Underdog of all time. We see how Jesus gave up his divinity in order to not only save humanity, but to share in the pain and affliction. To be with us. Jesus became a humble, tender shoot coming out of the stump of brokenness.

Sometimes we resist God's unmerited favor in our lives. But we can learn a lot from Mary, the mother of Jesus, and her story in how to step into that boldly and remain steadfast.

Sometimes we carry baggage - a label, something that we did or was done to us. When we read the story and learn about the legacy of Rahab, we learn that Jesus gives us a way out.

Jesus always runs after the lost. We just have to relinquish control and allow him to carry us through.

Week 2 in our unexpected series. Sometimes we feel God is a long ways off, but scripture shows us he is right there with us all along. Today we talk about the most unlikely of Queens that God chose to save the entire Jewish population in the empire.

God elevates those in humble circumstances, but humbles those who are proud. That through Jesus we are all level at the cross.
