In this podcast episode, I'd love to share with you this poem that describes the energies of dance so beautifully. It's written by Indubala, who's a fellow writer on Medium, and here's her brief bio.
You can read her poem at this link.
More about Indubala Kachhawa
Indubala is an Aquarian by design, who believes in painting the world with love. She practices living in the moment and believes in a greater beyond where we all are connected. She works in IT for an earning and is into leadership roles.
For her soul, she dances. She was introduced to classical Indian dancing as an 8-year-old girl by her mother. As she grew up, studies became her focus. But now, she is gyrating again every living moment and implores everyone to dance without a care in the world.

In this episode of the Gentle Magic podcast, I'm delighted to share with you my interview with Child Psychiatrist Katheleen Friend MD. Her presence and insights are so healing and empowering.
I first got to know about Kathleen through her first children's book, The Greatness Chair, published in 2019. The tools she taught through this book empowered me with a new way to appreciate and help my children honor their unique greatness qualities on a daily basis.
In this interview, Kathleen gave her healing and empowering answers to my burning questions as a sensitive parent:
🎧 How do we hold space for ourselves as highly sensitive adults, and teach our children to honor and manage their sensitivity too?
🎧 How do you take care of your sensitivity on a daily basis so you can keep holding space for all these children and their parents who experience challenging situations?
🎧 When did you learn about Heart Rhythm Meditation and how did it shift your Child Psychiatry practice?
More about Kathleen Friend MD

In this second episode, I'm so honored to share an interview I did a year ago with Kellita Maloof as a Gentleness Ambassador. I have benefitted so much from joining her online workshops, and through interviewing her. She is a wonderful human and her work is so, so sacred.
Listen to how she teaches her clients to feel safe and loved through being seen.
You can also read some of the highlights from this interview in my article here.
About Kellita
Kellita Maloof is a Performing and Teaching Artist, Embodiment Facilitator and Conscious Burlesque Mentor known lovingly as "The Showgirl Shaman." She works at the intersection where burlesque dance meets depth psychology meets attachment theory meets individuation meets autoimmune recovery meets spirituality.
For over 20 years, Kellita's been helping kind, soulful, highly sensitive helpers who've been over-editing, over-managing and over-giving – and are attracted to dance theater and expressive arts performance – to trust and express themselves with confidence, presence and radiance. She integrates into her work Systemic Constellations, EFT, Holographic tNLP, InterPlay and Interpersonal Neurobiology. Kellita's mission is to support folks in dusting off the fountain of Self-Love that was hiding right in the center of their very own shimmy. www.showgirlawakening.com

Welcome to the very first episode of the Gentle Magic Podcast.
In this episode, I share a story poem describing the harshness I felt through various work experiences as a young working adult and eventually becoming a stay-home mother. This poem was published in my poetry book titled: From The Womb of Gentleness, available as a Kindle book and paperback book on Amazon. It includes some beautiful whimsical illustrations by my talented friend, Yuanhui Chen, aka Shimmer.
I hope that through listening to this poem, you'll feel inspired to self-reflect on how you can, or have already been building resilience by being gentler with yourself.
