Genuine Wrestleboys

The 'boys are breaking down the big ol' WrestleMania weekend and the subsequent huge nights on TV we all just survived somehow! Unfortunately Esai was off in Parts Unknown and couldn't join us tonight and tbh Zack is mostly distracted thinking about Nicholas to focus on anything else, but we still give it a shot. Fortunately, returning guest Katie McBeth makes a run-in the episode about halfway through and helps salvage this main event. Too bad that couldn't have happened at Mania, right y'all?

The 'boys break down likely one of the best PPVs WWE has ever done in NXT Takeover: New Orleans and one of the most confusing ever in WrestleMania 34. Plus, the big debuts, call-ups, returns, and new job titles that went down on the Raw and SmackDown after WrestleMania!

Genuine Wrestleboys now has merch through What a Maneuver! And we're giving away a free shirt! To enter for one, please leave us a rating/review on Apple Podcasts and let us know about it! To check out the shirts, head over to whatamaneuver.net or follow bit.ly/wrestleboysmerch!

It's WrestleMania 34 Weekend! Don't worry, your Wrestleboys (with the help of returning guests Jenna Kieta and Katie McBeth) are here to break down and predict Wrestlemania on Sunday, NXT Takeover: New Orleans on Saturaday, and a bunch of the other shows and matches happening during the biggest wrestling week of the year!

Katie gives us her thoughts going into her first 'Mania weekend as a wrestling fan, we continue to be haunted by the ghoul of old wrestlers who love talking about their own greatness, and we speculate on what questions Baron Corbin seeks answers from Google for.

Make sure to go check out our new merch store and first-ever shirt over at whatamaneuver.net or by going to bit.ly/wrestleboysmerch, and if you would like to be entered into our contest for a FREE shirt, please leave us a rating and review on Apple Podcsts and let us know you left one!

The 'boys are mysteriously visited (possibly haunted?) by the surprisingly intrusive as he is great Bret "The Hitman" Hart this week! Nobody actually invited him, but nobody can seemingly get him to leave either. The Johns, Laurenitis and Cena, also swing by because once a podcast is off the rails like this, why not just drive it straight into a double toilet while you're at it?

In the few moments of peace between these visitors, the 'boys get all caught up on the buck wild developments in pro wrestling since they recorded last, including the return of Daniel Bryan, NJPW's Strong Style Evolved show and The Young Bucks vs. Golden Lovers match, developments along the road to a very quickly approaching WrestleMania 34 and NXT Takeover: New Orleans, and Zack takes everyone through his way-too-deep dive into some WrestleMania statistics.

Most importantly of all, though, WE HAVE MERCH! Check out our new store and first shirt design on WhatAManeuver.net and get yourself that sweet sweet CRJ x Wrestleboys merch you need by going to bit.ly/wrestleboysmerch.

We're also doing a shirt giveaway, so if you want to be entered for a chance to win one of our shirts, leave us a rating and review on Apple Podcasts and let us know about it, or if you have left one previously and want to be entered, let us know that you've already left one!

DISCLAIMER: This episode was recorded ahead of time because we all knew that we'd be way too busy during Treefort Music Fest to record a new episode. Therefore, we don't talk about any of the MASSIVE things that happened in wrestling this last week. Don't worry, though, we'll definitely get to all that next week!

Wrestling can be a pretty big bummer sometimes (again, this was recorded before we knew Daniel Bryan could wrestle again), and there have been some things going on recently that have bummed us out, so we wanted to just spend some time talking through those feelings. It was a cathartic time, y'all.

Jenna joins the 'boys again this week to talk about last week's Fastlane PPV, the week in wrestling, and whatever the fuck that Demon Straight From Toilet Hell Noise was that Shane McMahon made on SmackDown after getting beat up by Sami and Kevin???

Life moves fast. If you don't slow down once in a while, you'll totally miss (or just forget) that WWE actually put out any content this week or that the Fastlane PPV is happening.

Esai was unfortunately couldn't be on the show this week since he was busy working, and that's a shoot brother brother! The remaining 'boys talk about a fairly empty week of wrestling content but manage to pick out some gems hidden in that rough. They talk about Braun Strowman and Elias' big musical battle, Sami Zayn's breaking point, Tommaso Ciampa's Fires of Mt. Doom level of heel heat without saying a single word, what entirely predictable results we can expect to see at the FastLane PPV, and speculate wildly on what all this means for WrestleMania coming up in less than a month.

We didn't make any Austin Powers 3 jokes in this episode, and that big mistake is truly on us, but Golden Love is back in the wrestling world and that's joyous, friends. Unfortunately Esai couldn't be with us again this week, but we'll excuse it because of the big big week he had seeing Naito wrestle then driving across the country. The remaining 'boys talk about Seth Rollins BIG Monday night, the supreme and ongoing lackluster nature of SmackDown, Johnny Wresting's Kayfabe Farewell, and spend a whoooole lot of time talking the reunion matches between The Golden Lovers (Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi) in NJPW and queer/LGBTQIA+ representation in pro wrestling today. Finally, the 'boys dive into their thoughts about what will happen at WWE's Elimination Chamber PPV this weekend, the predictability of PPVs following the Royal Rumble, and what this show might set up for Wrestlemania.
