Genuine Wrestleboys

This is the first episode of a series covering the history of NXT!

Once upon a time, there once was the greatest weekly wrestling TV show ever made. It was called NXT and for about 5 beautiful years it thrived and it was a wonderful time to be alive and a wrestling fan. Then in the Fall of 2021 they murdered that perfect thing then dug up its corpse and used that corpse as a bad weird puppet. We're not talking about those perfect times, nor the dark current times we now live in when it comes to NXT. Instead, we must first talk about when it was a gameshow?!

We conclude our consensus top 20 wrestlers of all time debate by deciding our top 10 and THINGS GET SPICY. WHO WILL COME OUT ON TOP?! WHO YELLS A BUNCH? WHO GETS BETRAYED? (The answer to each of these is all of us somehow)

WE'RE SO SORRY EVERYONE! WE TRIED, BUT MAKING LISTS IS REALLY HARD!

Anyway, this episode is part 1 outta 2 of us working together to create the Genuine Wrestleboys Consensus Top 20 Professional Wrestlers Of All-Time (spoiler alert: you could say that "consensus" part of it gets some people on this podcast just a little bit heated over these next 2 episodes).

GENUINE WRESTLEBOYS IS OFFICIALLY BACK WITH SEASON 2, Y'ALL!

214 episodes is a normal length for a first season, right? Well, in any case here we are with the start of Wrestleboys 2.0, a better and much less recap-y Genuine Wrestleboys where we talk about things we actually enjoy about wrestling again! If you're a new listener, welcome aboard! If you're an old listener, thanks for sticking around through the hiatus!

Genuine Wrestleboys is a podcast by four friends (Derek Oster (he/him), Esai Saldana (he/him), Matt Stone (he/him), and Zack M. Evans (they/them)), made better friends through a love of professional wrestling.

Well, that sure was a Royal Rumble, huh? The Wrestleboys have a bunch of thoughts on this year's very strange edition of one of the biggest WWE PPV's and we're here to talk about 'em!

We're back (sorta)! Y'know that Marvel "What If?" show? Well this episode is kinda like that except answering a question the people REALLY cared about: "What if Genuine Wrestleboys made an episode without any wrestling in it?" I think it might go a little something like this...
