Main Idea: A shortsighted ministry is a short-lived ministry.

Main Question: What causes our shortsightedness?

• Today’s compromises become tomorrow’s standards.
• When you focus only on living for today, you make it harder for others to live tomorrow.

How do we leave a legacy of godliness?

We must live a life of obedience to leave a legacy of godliness.

Hearing God's Word must be followed by obedience.

A mature Christian does what is right, no just what is easy.

God takes our worship of Him seriously.

Our actions will affect those who come after us.

Main Idea: God delivers His people through the victory of His chosen one.

• Your first line of defense is the thing you trust in the most.
• God is for God.
• God delivers His people through the victory of the head-crusher.

Revelation 13: 1-10

Main Idea: Since heaven rejoices in the salvation of

the lost, so should we.

Main Question: How can we truly rejoice in the

salvation of sinners?

• We must remember that God loved us at our most unlovable.
• Since God didn’t give you what you deserve, you should rejoice when He doesn’t give others what they deserve.

God's reward system is different than the worldly reward system we have today.

Three things we learn about God with God's reward system:

1. God is always good.
2. God is always fair.
3. God is always generous.

God's generous reward system encourages us to also be generous with our money, belongings and time.

• Forgetting that salvation is by grace alone leads to pride and judgmentalism.
• True Christians do not ask, “Who am I required to love?” but rather, “Who needs love?”
• If God can love and use you, He can love and use your Samaritan.

Main Idea: Stop asking, “Who is my neighbor?”

and start asking, “Who needs a neighbor?”
