The Georgia Supreme Court has rejected District Attorney Fani Willis’ appeal to remain on Donald Trump’s election interference case. Judges cited an appearance of impropriety linked to her romantic relationship with special prosecutor Nathan Wade. Trump’s attorney called her conduct “egregious.” Willis said she disagrees with the ruling but will turn over case files to Georgia’s Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council, which will decide who takes over. For now, one of the most consequential election cases remains in limbo.
