Laugh out loud
Loved the narration by Andi Arndt. Laughed out loud several times during the story. Liked that all the pervious story lines played supporting roles. This could be read as a stand alone story, but knowing the back stories from the previous two books worked well too.
I love a book that makes you laugh out loud
What made the experience of listening to Lead the most enjoyable?
I love the humor in her books. This book made me laugh out loud several times. I also cried. Great story.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Lena was awesome. She is like every girl I know. Awesome but can't see it clearly.
What about Andi Arndts performance did you like?
She does a great job or conveying the feelings of the story. She is one of my favorites.
BAD BOY LEAD SINGER WITH A HEART OF GOLD
This book of the series, so far, is my favorite because of how heartbreakingly real the story felt to me. This book wasn't about a drunken, forgotten weekend in Vegas or a partly planned scheme for appearances (although both were fantastic in their own right), this book was about a man, broken, alone and hurting and a woman that refuses to give up on him when the world and said man have called it quits.
Jimmy, the lead singer of Stage Dive, is in need of a new assistant. Since going to rehab for his drinking and drug abuse, Jimmy has been desperately trying to stay clean and sober. He has no other choice. He is either clean or out of the band. He is arrogant, moody, closed off and refuses to share anything with anyone, not even his own brother David, the lead guitarist of the group.
Unfortunately for Jimmy he has meet his match with Lena. She was once discussed by an ex as being complicated and untouchable, which will be perfect for Lena when dealing with the moody damn rockstar (her words not mine). But soon after starting the job, she is exposed to a side of Jimmy rarely, if ever, seen. This opens up a flood of questions and feelings, she never wanted to have for the arrogant prick (again her words). Now she is face with the decision, should she stay or should she go, because going hurts just as much as staying and Jimmy is determine to make her stay.
There are a couple of parts of this book that I cried because I seriously felt the characters pain and anguish. I mean love can be a difficult. But more often I was laughing out loud. Lena is hilarious and Kylie's writing of the character is pure perfection.
