Good installment in the series as book 10. Two mating pairs struggle through their feelings and battling the evil forces. Good character development, storyline, & plot. Recommend starting with book 1 in the series, but novel can be read as stand alone.

Another winner!!! As usual the entire series is amazing. Sexy, gorgeous and dangerous vampires. What else could a girl want?

Great Series.

I would definitely recommend this series. All the books were great. Definitely start at book one. You will love the addition of Levet (the gargoyle) who comes in on book two and is a funny addition to all the stories.

Harley & the King of Weres are the topic for this book. The book was exciting and had me sitting on the edge of my seat. I love Harley's no nonsense attitude and unwillingness to be pushed around! Great series!

AN ENJOYABLE ACTION PACKED PNR WITH SIZZLE

Salvatore, the charming, arrogant, sexy, Alpha King of the Were-shifters has been looking for 4 genetically altered pureblood females cubs that were stolen from him over 30 years ago and these females were bred in the hope that they would restore his dying race of Were-Shifters. He has already found 2 but 1 is now mated to the the King of the Vampires and the other is barren. Suddenly he gets a whiff of a pureblood female and its 'ding ding' time for both his libido and the mating urge but there's just one problem..

Yes, Harley is one of those cubs, a pureblood female she's strong-willed, independent and very capable but she has been raised by a Cur (a half-blood werewolf) who's got his own evil agenda. He has kept her cocooned and has brainwashed her into thinking terrible things about Salvatore so, unfortunately for him, she's doesn't want to play!!

However, they are both just pawns in an old enemy's plan to rule over everything so they must work together, despite the sizzling sexual chemistry and Salvatore wanting them to complete the mate bond, to destroy the evil being that's threatening their very existence. Immortals Among Us

I have fallen in love with this series and this is only the second book! From the start I was ready to follow this story anywhere it wanted to take me, it had me at the first sentence. The characters are so well defined they seem like friends who decided to drop by and relate a new adventure. The language is straight forward and appropriate for the place and type of people they are. There is nothing slow about anything which happens, we keep moving from action to action with time for reflection that does not even slow down the pace. This was a perfect blend of action and introspection that allowed you to know the character and get behind or against them through their thoughts and deeds.

Connor Moore has been changed forever, he now officially belongs within the world of the Elites, but must still prove himself to be the Judge of the prophesy who will save his race and humankind from a darkness coming to claim them. To do this he must endure The Trials, which have not been used in over a thousand years but is the only way to garner support for a half-blood. When he accepts to undertake them he finds that he is told that he must pass the three trials which will test him mind, body, and spirit. Being eighteen is hard enough but to take on the role of savior is more than any teenager should have to do. The question is if he can do it before the darkness overtakes them. And to add to his burden he has not one but two girls who want to know where they stand in his life. That may have to wait until they see if they survive.

This is a smart, witty, action packed series that has eye candy throughout (great imagination from great descriptions) that anyone would enjoy. I have found characters that I can relate to and cry for or laugh about or hate and that is what good writing does, it draws you in and makes you care one way or the other. That is what I have here. It may not be for everyone but I would think if given a try it would do the same for anyone. And I for one cannot wait for the next installment, cliff hangers always make me anxious and I want to know what happens!

The Trials

Book two of the Elite series, I'd suggest readers to pick up the first book in the series before reading this book simply because I feel that a lot of character building and plot may have taken place there. The Trials (book 2 alone) is a fantastic read from beginning to end.

Too much erection, not enough detection!

I tried this because I saw the second book in the mystery section. I haven't completed the book and I'm not sure I will because a sex scene every twenty minutes just isn't doing it for me. If sex fits into a story line I'm cool with it. This....well...if the story grabbed me I'd trudge through the constant 'throbbing' but it doesn't.

Disappointment

I am only a few chapters in and I just cannot get into this book. It does not really have a story line that I can figure out. So far I know Eli can change to mist and something is wrong with Tyanas brother. It is just sex and more sex. Dont get me wrong I like that in a book but you need to have something to go with it to make the story interesting. I don't get the connection and am not sure if I am going to finish this book. I am shocked because I love Maya Banks and thought that this would be another hit. I am disappointed. I also don't like the narrator. She is slow when speaking in character. It is also difficult to distinguish the difference between characters. I just am not enjoying this. Sometimes I think it will get better but in my mind I am thinking how many more hours am I going to waste listening. My vacation is short:)

Just so-so

Sometimes a book is just really mediocre, and Into the Mist is an example of that. I wanted it to be better--since I'm definitely a Maya Banks fan, but, what started out as funny, sexy, and semi-interesting just went into snoozeville as it continued. There are so many other fantastic books worthy of my 'ear time' :-) sadly this wasn't one. Also, I was more distracted than impressed with the narrator's attempt at an accent for some of the characters--I think it was supposed to be some European/Russian/Polish mix--it wasn't working for me.

I listened because its rather short, but, I really couldn't wait until it was over. That's bad. I don't want to WANT books to end. Long review short, it has some of the makings of a good series but there are better stories out there about shifters looking for answers about their new genetic makeup and getting vengeance against those that have wronged them.

The Story Just Gets Better With Every Book

Although the books have lost some of their humor the story line becomes more intriguing with every new book. Nancy Wu is the perfect narrator for Betsy & her friends. Thank you Mary; I can't wait to read the next book in the series!

Weak: Undead Series Loses its Way

The first half of this book is a wandering series of sentences with no plot or theme. It is absolutely dreadful. You are four hours into listening and you are thinking, "what the hell is this story about -- literally?" The second half of the book at least has a plot (of sorts). I am tempted to think that Davidson mailed this one in, she had half a novel -- the end -- and no way of getting to it, so she just rambled with retreaded early book one-liners till she had enough pages.

That being said, the second half of the novel was plausible if not disagreeable. Hated the ending, hated the premise of the ending, though Davidson had twisted the characters and motives in a way that well outside the bounds of the story-line well beyond a writers license to twist.

I have no idea how, if ever, she will recover from the disaster which is book 12. This is a train wreck and I would suggest you avoid it even if you read the whole series. Wait for book 13 if there is one and read them back to back with the hope that 13 will be a resurrection of sorts. I am not holding my breath.

Loved the story but the ending.....

What made the experience of listening to Undead and Unsure the most enjoyable?

I loved every on of the books in the "Undead" series......I always laugh and find them really enjoyable.

What about Nancy Wus performance did you like?

Nancy is great at all the voices and emotions especially Betsy.

TWO DIFFERENT STORIES - ONE COMMON THEME.... LOVE

I will review these two novellas separately but I must confess that I bought it solely for GS's story but (or and ? I can't decide!) as I'd never heard of Kait Ballenger before I thought this would be a good second listening experience.

The Darkest Angel - Well in this sexy, funny, well written and very entertaining listen Gena proves that opposites can attract and, like Adam and Eve, you just can't fight forbidden temptation. Lysander (Angel) and Blanka (Harpy) turn their mutual dislike into desire followed quickly by lust and eventually love but sassy Blanka has a lot of fun getting there. It had a few short references to Aeron and his Angel Olivia from The Darkest Passion and Paris makes an appearance too from her LOTU series but BEWARE this too short, but nevertheless brilliant book, was in Heart Of Darkness anthology.

Shadow Hunter - is about an elite group of genetically enhanced vampire fighters called The Execution Underground and in particular Damon who's one of it's members seeking revenge for his team-mate's death. Unfortunately (or fortunately - glass half full question) so is his team-mate's little sister Tiffany and she's not so little any more and he just can't keep his hands off her as his desire grows. This captivating prequel to the Execution Underground series is packed full of world-building action, suspense, twists, secrets, revelations, fighting, seduction, romance and, of course, all set around the common goal of revenge but sadly, for one of them, things don't always go to plan.

Worth a credit? Two exciting paranormal romance stories in one listen.... errr that would be a YES and a YES.

Great narrator, stupid heroine

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The heroine behaves in stupid ways. She is a smart witch but oh my god, she ruminates for hours then behaves in a very scatterbrained manner.

What could Tate Hallaway have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Garnet could be a great heroine but in Honeymoon of the Dead, she out does herself in transparent and ridiculous schemes that anyone can see through. She doesn't want to tell Sebastian about the hotel room trashed by Lilith because he'll be mad. What is this--I Love Lucy? Ricky will be angry so Lucy must think up a way to distract him?

Have you listened to any of Amanda Ronconis other performances before? How does this one compare?

Amanda Ronconi saved this book and the series. Thanks to her skill, you can forgive garnet's ridiculous musings. Ronconi can read (almost) anything and make the it sound better than it was written.

Was Honeymoon of the Dead worth the listening time?

No. I couldn't finish it because one foolish decision begets another until you want to smack garnet. My friend couldn't get through the first book because garnet irritated her too much. I made it to the 4th book!

This book was a letdown.

It was as humorous as the former books but much less entertaining and way over the top in its plausibility. There were too many incidents that happened to the point of coming off like a slapstick Laurel and Hardy show. Overall, it was just okay.

Excellent narrator

I love Amanda Ronconi so much. I enjoyed this book but wonder what happened to our couple in the future. As far as I can tell there are no further adventures. That bums me out. This series has been enjoyable. The best part is always Amanda's narration. I don't always like Garnet but it is still a worthwhile read.

IN LOVE!!!

Might be my favorite series ever. If you want mushy happy romance this is perfect. I love a mushy love story even if it gets to the point that it's kind of over the top. I recommend this to all of my friends and family. And I have re-read it like 3 times now just so I can smile at all of my favorite parts. I love stories with soulmates and a happy ending. This series did not disappoint! I was lost in it the moment I started it and I could not put it down.

Eternal love done originally

I read this book a few years ago and loved the story. I thought it was an original take on a love story. The characters are interesting and I definitely have a favorite character.

Some of the storyline I could see from a mile a way but it did not take away from the enjoyment of the book.

On a negative note... the narrator is not my favorite. Her over confident and somewhat snotty telling is annoying. I did adjust after awhile but the book would have been so much better with someone a little more pleasant sounding.

I love the passion, vulnerability and likeableness of the main characteristics. I can feel the heartbreak in places which is also telling that the story has drawn you in.

I am looking forward to reading/listening to the other two books real soon.

What would have made Eternal Eden better?

If the characters weren't so miserable & co-dependent & maybe if the entire story didn't just hinge on Bryn & William alone against the world.

What was most disappointing about Nicole Williamss story?

Geared towards younger readers without much of a smooth realistic plot. I would've loved this at 13 probably but at 19 it's just not cutting it.

What about Tara Sandss performance did you like?

Quite expressive and interesting.

Some of the descriptions were quite good and the whole college scene/immortal love thing was okay until she basically committed suicide to be with a guy she barely knew.

Kind of a repeat.

Too much of this book seemed to be a repeat of the second book. Like the author wrote 2 books but was contracted for 3. Seems she just tried to expand the material to make enough volume to fulfill her obligation.
