Light, fun romance with steam

Great, likeable characters and lots of fun. I love Sam. She is fun, sassy, and quirky. She keeps Adam on his toes. I liked when he told her he needed to download Urban Dictionary to understand her. She's not afraid to tell him when he needs an attitude adjustment. And he takes it all in stride, which is why they are a great couple. If you like light, funny romance with some steam, I definitely recommend.

As for the audio, it was great. The narrator, Rachel Logan, was easy to listen to and she was just fantastic. I would look for other books narrated by her.

Different .. in a GREAT WAY!!!

Where does Dare the Devil rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?

Good question. The difference between this audio book and others is the overall production is spectacular - which typically is accomplished through bigger budgets of course and stellar talent. It is read by duo narrators whom are exceptionally gifted with the ability to "become" the characters they portrayed. I would call them talented actors rather than narrators. There was a great amount of back and forth dialogue from a great amount of characters that really filled out the stories big picture and was really well done. The evolving romance between Thor and Cam, the challenges of being a woman as good as any man at almost everything is something both men and women find a struggle in any relationship. I loved Cam. She was so beautiful, thoughtful and so much fun and interesting. Thor was the sexy, Montana Ranger that was every woman's dream.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Dare the Devil?

The helicopter scene was exciting.

Which scene was your favorite?

Thor climbing up the hill to find Cam quite comfortable and safe and their back and forth dialogue as she attempts to ease his bruised ego. Boy was she one patient girl. I believe I would have snapped and said 'Get over it all ready cowboy .. and let's 'get on with it!"

This was a great story that was truly different from your generic romance. It was quite original, and really fun to listen too. I loved Cam's grandmothers who tricked Devlin. Lots of funny parts, real (and hot) romance in a difficult industry and time. Strong characters that were believable and ethical. Just a great listen.

Just finished listening to the audio book Dare The Devil. I picked it from the sample narration I heard, and the title of the book was tantalizing. My take on this modern day BOY MEETS HIS MATCH IN GIRL, was a great listen all around. If a story doesn't go the way you expect it, I consider that to be a good thing. To be predictable is boring.

Would you consider the audio edition of Timing Is Everything to be better than the print version?

Hearing from the author's own voice is just an amazing turn. The emotion feels real. MUCH better than hearing a book read by someone else. Yes, those are good, but this is SO much better!!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Timing Is Everything?

When she ran out of the building to her car because he discovered about her hair and she was crying - and Kellie sniffled right along with her... heartbreaking!!

I heard my fantasy come true

What made the experience of listening to Carpe Diem the most enjoyable?

This is a beautiful love story that is laced with passion, sensuality and erotica. A lot of erotica is porn, but this is a well written and beautifully presented audiobook. I dont like overly acted audio, and the narrator did a great job.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Carpe Diem?

The dinner with Justin and Sandy. Captured the essence of the struggle and the joys of the two characters who are hesitant to believe that real love may exist.

Which character as performed by Lucy Malone was your favorite?

She did a great job with Sandy and all her struggles.

I felt Sandys pain and fear as she tried to emerge from her broken marriage and live a free life once again.

This is a well written story by the author. The narrator also captured the beauty of the relationships. Deserves 5 stars for both.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Not all my friends may be into the erotic/romance genre but for those who are, this is a great read. Sandy is the embodiment of so many women who have gone throughout the pain of divorce, put their life back together and now need to move on with their journey.

What did you like best about this story?

While the sexual content is a part of the story, the romance of Sandy and Justin is refreshing as it is two adults who are familiar with the pain of life yet willing to explore its pleasures.

What does Lucy Malone bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

She seems to identify with the female lead character and truly brings her conflicts to life. Her voice in the narration adds depth to the sexual interaction. Happy that the author used a female voice.

Narrator ruined the book

Every single person sounded the same. I guess I also didn't expect to hear the Jersey accent. I couldn't get past that male Panthers sounded like little girls and all the girls sounded the same and with that darn accent.

The story could've been good but I couldn't bare to listen so I know it's bad when u fast forward several times in a 2 hour story.

I don't know. The performance of the narrator was so awful that it adversely affected the storyline.

What didnt you like about Charity McGowans performance?

Uninspiring; sounded like an adolescent. The narrator sounded like a 12 year old. It seemed the voice she used for Caleb was higher than the voice she used for the women. And I couldn't figure out what kind of accent she was trying to use for some of the women. Was that supposed to be "Jersey?"

Middle of the road ..

I enjoyed the basic story line here in Sheer Bliss. I love shapeshifters - paranormal romance genres too. But I will start choosing narrations that are a more comfortable listen. Charity McGowan is a good reader, however a tad bit monotone. And I am learning that I just prefer a more stronger, fuller voice narration in my romance novels, especially if I have to listen to it at any length.

Interesting...

I must admit I found this short story humorous with the main character having sex out in the open in public with out anyone so much as gasping that she was giving a guy a BJ in a store. Then rode him hard into oblivion. LOL Then every encounter she had, it was her displaying herself out like a buffet. The old guy trying to rape her was just laughable. I didn't find that scene appealing. She used her sexual powers on those and used and rape one guy against his will but when 4 guys try to take liberties unspoken she ends up killing them. I guess four is too many to fit in her "Pu***y at one time LMAO. Like the two guys she had the next day whos man root was so tiny or that her "Pu**y" was so huge, they got it in there at the same time. But overall I liked the ideal of a wood nyph crossbreed. I just couldn't stop laughing at the odd behavior then it concludes her sleeping with an elf who sealed them in a forever bond. The End. Literally! I guess she feed him to her tree after that cause I don't think this nyph settling down with one D**k! LMAO

Boy, Howdy!

I am a fan of erotica and find that though there is an increased audio market for it, very few narrators give the stories the feel that the authors are trying to convey or do them justice. Most of them read too mechanically and you may as well listen to the history of paper making or something equally as mundane. Sometimes the male voices remind me of the text to speech function on my ereader. Not the case with Mr. LeGrande's narrative of the various stories in 'Boy Fun'. He is well versed in many accents and definitely brings the heat that these stories were meant to have. Doesn't come across as reading the stories as so many do. It helps that most of the stories are well written. I hope that Mr. LeGrande will narrate more in the future.

Okay...

Although the stories are enjoyable (overall) they are VERY short; only ranging from 15 to 20 mins each. And, there isn't really much 'story' in them at all - more like XXX quickies. But, if you've run thru the other gay selections here (like I have) and need something to listen to...well, this will do in a pinch. Note to Audible: more gay titles PLEASE!

As with all anthologies the stories are hit and miss, fortunately for me theres a few more hits than misses and I'm pleased with my purchase, and thats all I can really think of to say about this one.
