Members Reviews:
Tedious
The premise was interesting. The book could have been half the length. Not what I expected.
I like the relationship development
I like the relationship development we got. James is always a fun character and it's good we got more of him here.
I enjoyed the first half of the book but the second half of the book felt too much like the first book.
I don't like that the ending felt too easy and too passive. It made sense but it still felt too easy.
If you liked the first book
Where does The Treatment rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
Below mediocre.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Till the end
Any additional comments?
If you liked the first book, you should definately take this one too.
Just as good as the first book! total cliff hanger
Would you listen to The Treatment again? Why?
Yes. I absolutely loved the characters and the surprises they faced along the way. I definitely found myself on the edge of my seat multiple times.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Treatment?
SPOILER: When sloan is trying to escape at the end.
What about Joy Osmanskis performance did you like?
She had great voices for each character and she read with excitement! It was all at a good pace too.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes! Some parts I was shocked and kind of worried how the characters were going to end up. I also want to meet a guy like James.. he's perfect!
Any additional comments?
Im glad that this book was just as good as the first one. It held true to the characters and the fast pace that the first book had.
Good closure to the story line
It was a good closure to the story line. It brought things to a nice wrap up. I didn't feel rushed. I didn't get too bogged down. It flowed from character to character in a natural way. It leaves room for other stories but the reader need not read them if they don't want to as this really wrapped up well. I would not recommend this book as a stand alone because you need to understand the world of the novel to get it.
I found myself wondering about the premise of course. Suicidal concerns with young people around the world. Being a teen is filled with so much wandering and thinking and angsting that I could see where it might seem like an epidemic.
