    Critic Reviews:
"Harry Lorayne, a memory-training specialist, addresses a common problem for people in business or social situations. He says most people do not remember names, and he suggests two simple rules to alleviate this problem. Lorayne speaks in a strong New York accent, complete with the variations in pacing and intonation specific to the region. He gets silly following his memory rules, and there are cute skits...demonstrating how embarrassing it is to forget names. This enjoyable production offers practical ideas." (AudioFile)

    Perfect for Conducting Sales Training
Includes practical exercises to support the material. This is an audio program you will want to conduct at least once a month.
    A MUST HAVE
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I have purchased many audiobooks on selling skills, and this is the BEST book yet. A must have for all sales professionals.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Dial Success?
Mr. Le Put present the learning material simple, effective and fun to listen to.
    Which scene was your favorite?
The 14 objections module. Loved the GONG!
What insight do you think youll apply from Dial Success?
The dissection of the sale call scripts.
    Any additional comments?
I love this (first) audio book so much, I bought all the books that Mr. Le Put ever written.
    Very Good for Appointment Setters
What did you love best about Dial Success?
The exercises were good for getting me to understand why I am in sales.
What other book might you compare Dial Success to and why?
There was Prospecting and Setting Appointments Made Easy. But, Le Put's book focuses on cold leads not warm leads and he gives you tools to create an effective script. Le Put gives more direction in such a short amount of time. I definitely got more out of his book. I returned the aforementioned book.
What does Mike Le Put bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
The gong sound for the wrong way to respond to the customer objections.
What did you learn from Dial Success that you would use in your daily life?
How to write an effective script to set an appointment and rebut the objections (the rebuttals were excellent!)
    Any additional comments?
Among other things, he stresses the purpose for calling, which is to get the appointment not to make a sale.
    Very informative
Short and to the point. I suggest it to realtors or anyone who would benefit from cold calling.
    Very basic introduction level stuff
This is for very new people who are just starting to pick up phones. Super basic stuff.

    Don't Expect Much!
I am not familiar with Mr. Nido's success, however this audio book did not provide any answers as to what it's title suggests. Yes, he sounds sincere, but it all sounds more of a pep talk in which charcter and action are the main points. This does not determine you will get anything you want if you posess these things.
    Simply Brilliant!!
I bought this audible book a few days ago, I have listened to it almost 30 times and I probably know it word by word. It is plain simple, and straight to the point. Great examples and smart everyday ideas. Its just a matter of putting these principles in practice and results show. Listening to Nido helped me strike a deal on Friday I've been wanting to strike for a longtime but held back. Simply Brilliant.

    Language: English
    Release date: 09-27-06
    Publisher: HarperAudio
Ratings: 4 of 5 out of 18 votes
    Genres: Business, Career Skills
    Publisher's Summary:
In Mind Set!, John Naisbitt reveals how to develop and experience the power of 11 cognitive tools that will allow readers to understand the trends transforming their daily lives and the world around them, so they can anticipate and act on the future. In a narrative that is captivating in its scope and reach, ranging from Yao Ming and the NBA to Goethe and Global Domains, Naisbitt liberates readers from the limitations of our routine ways of thinking with a step-by-step program to incorporate these new attitudes of mind and apply them in making decisions.
Also includes an interview with the author.
    Editorial Reviews:
Eric Conger's narration beautifully complements this excellent abridgment of Naisbitt's latest work. For fans of quick educational listens, this book delivers the essence of a powerful work from one of our great futurists. Naisbitt offers up the secrets to his forecasting success and invites us to join him in seeing the future. Conger delivers Naisbitt's insights into where America, China, and the EU are likely to wind up in the not too distant future. Conger's tone is accessible and authoritative, entirely worthy of this great author. He chooses just the right pace to make lessons about the future of nations and the importance of economic boundaries easy to absorb.
    Members Reviews:
    Understanding and creating the future
Reading Naisbitt's "Mind Set" reminded me of Peter Drucker's observation that only a fool predicts the future, but it is profitable to understand current events and project them into a forseeable future. He also noted that âThe best way to predict the future is to create it.â Naisbitt focus is slightly different noting that most change is not on what we do, but on how we do it. The more we are able to differentiate between constants and change the better we will be able to create the future we aspire to.
This is an excellent book, Naisbitt expresses himself with clarity, logic, and excellent insights; which are as relevant now as they were when he wrote the book, circa 2006. The two insights that interested me the most was his observation that as more Americans become less informed, active, and independent minded, we risk loosing our innovativness and productivity, something we cannot afford. The second and in my mind the most important one, is his observation that we -- as a society and individually -- do not get results by "solving problems, but by exploiting opportunities." A book that is well worth a careful read.
I hope John Naisbitt writes again MegaTrends for 21-1/2 Century
John Naisbitt's book again is Wow, tremendous. Helping us less knowledgeable people to see the world's trends by giving examples of how his young son see things. I really hope and wish John would come out of retirement to write another trend forecasting book about what the 2nd and 3rd decades of the 21st century; another MEGATRENDS.
His ex-wife's book, I could not relate or understand at all and put it away after trying to read the first few chapters. John himself have a way to write to make ordinary guys like myself understand and get excited. His ex-wife writing seem to writing for techkie guys. She is probably smart, but does not know how to write like John. Come ON! John, come out of retirement and help us older guys navigate into the 21 st Century, PLEASE!

Skip this one - no stars
I really didn't find anything in this book that wouldn't be covered by common sense. Save your book credit for something useful. The author of this book drones on and on in some sort of therapist voice, using the word "confidence" over and over in what seemed like every other sentence. It sounds like some sort of self hypnosis tape and you become so annoyed that this author doesn't have a thesaurus (and you paid to hear this) that you begin to block out everything that is said. It felt like some sort of practical joke to see how long you would listen.
    Skip this one
The audacity of this author to include the word book in the description of this meager effort, as in Audio-book, is absurd and an insult to anyone even slightly engaged in a writing vocation. Its silly tone and elementary content may be appropriate for teenagers looking for their first part time job, but is severely inadequate for anyone seeking employment beyond the level of a fast food establishment, let alone career advancement in a profession. If paid a single dollar for every instance the author slovenly invoked the word confident, the need to change careers would be removed from my current list of requisite and unpleasant tasks, as I would be independently wealthy. Number one: dress well for the interview thanks for the tip. Do not waste your time on this one.
    Definately skip this one
This is not a book on how to ace a job interview. There are few, if any hints on what to do/what not to do. There are no insights on how to answer questions. Instead the majority of the book is taken up with some kind of visualisation exercise in which you're supposed to visualise yourself "becoming confident".
Too bad you can't ask for a refund
This book very much surprised me. Apparently one can publish a book all about completely common knowledge garnered from common sense and everything your mother told you. There was not one thing in this book that anyone reading it would not already know. I rate it ZERO stars but was forced to select one star to submit this review.
    Common Sense
This book was a waste of my time. The author writes as if his readers have the intelligence of a middle schooler. I was hoping to take away a little knowledge from this book, but I didn't find anything insightful. Don't waste your time, it's all common sense.

    Publisher's Summary:
How does Pitino motivate people? There's no question that he has immense personal charisma and superb coaching strategies. Yet what sets him apart is his ability to spur his people on to achieve far more than is expected of them. His core belief, honed through his coaching in a variety of situations for over twenty years, is that everyone can achieve things they never thought possible. He maintains that most of us continually undersell ourselves, routinely settle for less than we deserve, and grow conditioned to thinking that we can't attain the goals we set for ourselves. Beginning with the four elements crucial to any achievement, Togetherness, Esteem, Attitude, and Mental Toughness (TEAM), Pitino systematically overturns this negative conditioning and replaces it with ten concrete steps to building a winning life. This remarkable author, with a terrifically compelling message, will make Success Is a Choice one of the biggest business/self-improvement audiobooks of the year.

    Members Reviews:
    No concrete examples
I was unable to find work that matters using this book. It simply tried to persuade you to "do what you love so that money would follow." He tries to convice you not to be afraid of losing what you have already worked for. I see where he wants you to go but he doens't provide the bridge from where you are to where you want to be. He perhaps made me think about my situation more but thats about it. If you are looking to find work that matters you will still be looking after reading this book.
Will make you think about what your work...
The narrator speaks well, and does show emotion when talking. Not really a new concept, but worthy of listening too. He talks very positive about going with your life passions in a career, which I agree with. However, his examples of changing work is pretty extreme career wise. Not everyone has high level degrees, and went to Harvard like he did. He really doesn't seem to bring the mid level income person into play with his many examples. But the concept is the same, and he does in fact make you reevaluate your standing at work, and life in general. A worthy book to listen to, but loses a star with me because he blows his own horn too much in this book.
    Good Sound Advice.
Mark Albion likes to drop names. And he does so throughout the book. And that's a good thing. He gives out sound advice on assessing your strengths and weaknesses and compairing them to what you are doing and to discovering what you want to do with your life and work. Bringing up the names of successfull businessmen and women makes it interesting and also shows that doing what you want doesn't (necessarily) mean dropping out of society or turning your back on monetary success. I recommend this work.
    good insights
I really enjoyed this book - it really had a lot of good advice on careers.
    Old wine, new bottle
I have read and heard several books and audio programs over the years. The ideas presented here are sound. However, there is no original material here. Most of the one liners and stories, I had heard before. The author seems to have just rehashed some well established ideas, put his own spin on them and presented them in an appetising form. I honestly did not learn one new thing here, just a reiteration of old ideas. Try ' The Magic of Thinking Big'. Its more original and profound than this work. Also I hate ex-yuppie authors extol their own virtues about how they gave up the good life and are now dedicated to the service of mankind.
