Only my second book but this was 'A fantastic story'! Warm, dreamy and inviting and at times overwhelming, I was unable to turn off at times. The readers dialogue made it most enjoyable. Made me feel like i was actually living the story, could imagine actually being there. Cant wait to order my next book! Thankyou Audible!

Time to move on

Anne Cater does her usual amazing job with this lovely book. A very interesting tale about a Welsh village and the central figure is entertaining and complex. Anne Cater is Welsh and her ability to do accents and perform the roles is brilliant. I could not wait to listen to the whole book right through. Ten out of ten.

Not complimentary!

I did listen to it all even though I was bored by the story and annoyed by most of the characters. Eventually after many twists and turns (mostly of the heroine's own making) it did end in the way one would expect it too.

What a great book!

I've just finished this book and absolutely loved it. It was funny, serious, moving and thought-provoking in turn and I was pretty fed up on reaching the final page as it marked the end of two days' unmitigated entertainment. I liked the pace, the development of the characters and the way the book made you think quite deeply about emotional matters while never being too serious or ponderous - quite the opposite in fact, as some passages were laugh-out-loud funny. I'd recommend it to any mother in a long-term relationship and with teenage children and ageing parents in tow - a really good read.

Funny & Pacy - Perfect Holiday Read

Stayed up very late to find out if Becca & Paul got together after meeting at an audition for a production of The Country Wife. Paul is the director, and Becca wins the part of Lady Fidget. Both Becca's teenage daughter, Lily (goth, into Cradle of Filth) and mother, June (announces she is leaving Becca's father shortly after Golden Wedding Party) have strong subplot storylines, and husband, Martin, is great too.

A perfect holiday read - especially if you are from or visiting Bath.

This is a great book. The narrator makes it hard to distinguish between charactors, they all sound the same. Very disappointing

not nearly as nice as things my daughters need to

It is a book for a holiday without much dept und too much of the kind where you would like to beat up the characters for being stupid.

Also the narrator's voice is not really pleasant.

But I finished to listen to it, which is more than I can say for other purchases, so I did not regret it, but one should not expect too much.
