I wanted to learn Yoga for a long time (since 1989) when I met a medical doctor who was a practitioner of Iyengar Yoga. My search for a good yoga teacher ended in 2016 when I met Anuj ji, courtesy a common friend & a fellow coach, Akhil.

Today we listen in over a live coaching session, and Supercoach Subash CV leads a participant through a tough situation and mental stress to be able finally handle his anxieties and help him re-emerge stronger. 

He speaks to Akhilesh Chaturvedi, founder of Yayati Consulting. Akhilesh spent many years in technology consulting leading large enterprise solution projects until he trained as an ICF coach and also founded Yayati consulting – which works in the area of Enterprise Architecture Consulting, Implementation and Facilitation.

The process of Executive Coaching takes on 4 phases:

Stage 1: Awareness

The “awareness” stage of an executive coaching intervention starts with a meeting between the coach and the executive team, which may include not only the executive and the person he or she reports to, but also often a senior executive and a representative from human resources. At this stage, the coach participates in discussions to understand the client’s background, goals, and expected outcomes and to ensure the client team is committed to the coaching process.

Stage 2: Analysis

The second stage of an executive coaching intervention is about analysis. The client may take one or more assessments, and other stakeholders are interviewed. Afterward, a meeting takes place between the coach and client to set expectations, discuss target competencies for success, and understand results from stakeholder interviews. Here and in future phone conferences between coach and client, an individual development plan is finalized and shared with the client’s sponsoring executive and HR representative.

Stage 3: Action

Regular communication between coach and client is crucial for executive coaching success.

This stage is where the client focuses on specific changes necessary for fulfilling the individual development plan. This may require the client to:

• Try new behaviors and report on them to the coach
• Attempt new skills
• Strengthen key relationships within the organization
• Talk to successful executives who embody strengths the client wants to develop
• Meet other stakeholders for their input on the client’s development goals and plans
• Attend training programs as necessary

Throughout this stage, the client and coach are in regular communication in person or by phone to ensure focus remains on the development plan and to discuss successes and problems in specific situations.

Stage 4: Achievement

The final stage of the executive coaching intervention is the achievement stage. It is at this time that surveys are sent to stakeholders to provide feedback on the client’s improvement and progress. The results of these surveys are discussed with the client, and if course corrections are necessary, they’re documented.

Marcos has had many varied experiences.  As a youngster, he worked during summer time selling phones, as PR for clubs, as electrician, as event organizer… and many others. he then  lived in Berlin to complete his bachelor thesis in Telecommunications Engineering and join the research group for one year at the university in the computer science department.

After his International MBA in Barcelona, he went to an exchange in Bangkok and Hanoi… and backpacked right after for 6 months across Asia on a budget. In order to pay for his MBA while doing it, he  created events with a colleague. Based in Barcelona, he organized events as far as in Almaty (Kazakhstan).

He has practice for 15+ years Vipassanā Meditation, including 10 days silence retreats (roughly) every 2 years, being one of the few foreigners visiting Myanmar (Burma) back in 2004. He travel to Bhutan as journalist, publishing articles in Spanish and Thai magazines.

During all these years, he acquired some important competences and experiences:
• Communication Skills and Managerial Capabilities in multicultural environments
• Project and Results Oriented, ready to adopt different attitudes depending on the situation
• Turnaround & business transformation leader, comfortable with Start-Up environments and multinationals structures
