Tyler hijacks the cold open (Trust the DOOPin' Process), but it goes nowhere... for there is bigger news on the horizon. Could it be? The Flyers are good.

Kev and Tyler do get their DOOP on for a moment, but there isn't much news as we await 10/26 for the next game.

Since someone (could be anyone) fell asleep and someone (also anyone) didn't have any iOS devices to receive messages about a post game pod, we lumped the Eagles at Vikings coverage into this show. We then tackle the rematch with the Giants (already?) this Sunday before our bye week.

Kev here... I'm writing these notes after a night of drinking whiskey because I was out of beer during the Phillies game last night, in which JJ and I were wrong: they won and have forced a game 4 TONIGHT. I fear I'll need to drink more whiskey, but I hope they can create a big enough lead before I can sit down and drink during the game.

While the crux of this show is that every Philly Sports team has broken our hearts and made us say we'll get 'em next year, it is this specific Phillies team (for the most part, there are some different pieces to it compared to last year) that sparked the joke that sparked the push for this show to begin. And they proved why, after a late-game rally that didn't quite start soon enough, these teams can mess with our emotions so much.

Philly sports fans are not doing well today: three losses in three days is tough. Not losing two championships in a single night (three in a span of a couple months) tough, but tough. Going to LA down two in a five-game series is less than ideal.

It was a rough weekend in Philly Sports: the Phillies dropped game 1 of the NLDS to the Dodgers, and the Eagles suffered their first loss of the season.

On the bright side, for the small army of Union fans that follow us, they won their game Saturday Night, clinching 1st place in all of MLS AND winning the Supporters Shield (which some say is a more impressive trophy than the actual MLS Cup, just sayin').

JJ, Tyler, and Kev share their thoughts on what happened during this Eagles game and hope they have time to figure it out before heading to New Jersey to take on the New York Giants and their hot new QB (yes, the lost yesterday, but Dart still looked good).

My Wiz Wit is Reed Blankenship for tipping the ball in the 4th, which directly led to the Campbell interception... they may have stopped Tampa from winning the game. My Wiz Witout is the Refs / NFL for these bullshit taunting calls. Who cares... let these guys taunt, IT'S FUN. It's also not stopping any fights from happening on the field, so WHAT. IS. THE.
