We’ve got some lovely music from a Berlin based Open Mic this week. With acts as varied as they are wonderful.

And as if musical culture wasn’t enough, the guys role the dice in real time on how best to use the language of today’s youth. Spoiler alert! It’s totally slay. Like, really really slay.

And at the very end of the episode, Ed finally gets confronted about his poor communication skills. But he handles it very well. No, he’s not just saying that because he is the one writing this blurb. I’m not getting angry. You are! No, you shut up!

Andy puts the "war" into wardrobe discussions this week as he savagely attacks Ed's choice of jumper for the Podcast. Spoiler alert: Andy forgot that he gave Ed said jumper.

Fashion faux pas aside, the guys also keep you up to date on their embarrassing stories as a way of making you all feel better about yourselves. It really should be considered a public service broadcast for this section.

And this week, music makes a comeback as Andy brings us all the latest sounds from the streets of Berlin. Even some sounds we don't necessarily want.

Music gets pride of place on this week's episode of The Get Folked Podcast (well, to begin with anyway) as Andy and Ed talk about the album "Not For The Gallery" from Rufus Coates and Jess Smith. Andy met them in Berlin. How cool is that? That's right, it's very cool. You can catch the album via the URL below. It's very very very good.

And while the guys do a better job with the music this week, they would be remiss if they didn't share some of this week's musings with us. And what musings they are: Andy flouts one of capitalism's central tenets and adopts a "buy high and sell low" approach at his jumble sale; somewhere a stock exchange is in freefall and nobody knows why. Also up for discussion: How to escape justice in a very specific way.

And last, but not least, Year 2 of The Broad Majestic Shannon music Festival took place in in Kilbarron village in North Tipperary this weekend. Ed was there and it was awesome. Come join us for a listen.

Folk music takes another hit this week as it moves to the backseat in place of some very important topics including, but not limited to, some pretty liberal suggestion changes to official Catholic Liturgy, driving test reminiscences, and the details of picking the right military portrait of yourself if you are an Irish nationalist hero.

The guys also catch up on house keeping and give Dominic Beehan his fair dues and explore some of his best known song titles. And finally, finally, we find out what Ed did with his confirmation money. Did he invest it? . . . Kind of.

Ed puts in some serious hours rounding off a few of the rough edges from last weeks episode. Andrew continues to struggle with basic pronunciation while over egging the alliteration pudding.

The lads discuss the relentless struggle of sculpting young minds and Andy signs off with a rather in-depth review of the importance of thighs that will surely be revisited when the lads bang out next week’s bingo classic. Get Folked...you know you know you want to!

And the stew of ignorance simmers on this week as Andy and Ed somehow manage to put themselves through their own paces as they share a "wealth" of Irish History and Geography "knowledge" while also increasing the word-count of next week's housekeeping section.

Andy's travels around Ireland continue, and bring him into contact with that awesome spectacle of Irish pride; The GIANT Avondale Slide. While Ed takes care of matters closer to home and, in the spirit of the Bull McCabe, attempts to reclaim the land, nettle stings be damned.

"But wait." I hear you say. "That's too much light and fluffy stuff for my taste. I want some serious stuff too. Would it be too much to also expect the guys to deal with the weighty subject of the intrinsic value of human life during this episode?" Not at all! They covered that as well, specifically from the perspective of a vampire though. Hope that helps.

This weeks episode is firmly rooted in the title as the lads discuss one of Andy’s fathers late night favourite tunes written in 1946 but stands the test of time in terms of the products ability to go everywhere.
