With the Halloween Season nearing its end, we decided to talk about some of the strange phobias we have, and some of the strangest ones we've ever heard of. Did you know one of us has a bit of "Trypophobia" (characterized by a fear of clusters of tiny holes)? Yay fear! Give it a listen.

Sometimes movies are made to have sequels. Sometimes sequels are made, even if they are not needed. And sometimes...sequels that should never have even been imagined get the green light. We talk about some of the worst sequels ever made and some others that might be awful, but we still like them anyways. What's a movie sequel that you think should never have been made?

Ryan Reynolds is just about everywhere right now. Why? Because people love him, us included. We take a few minutes to talk about where he came from, what he's done, and some of our favorite things he's ever done (And a few things we didn't) in this week's podcast.
What's your favorite Ryan Reynolds role?

Marcia Lucas, the Oscar-winning editor behind the original Star Wars trilogy, as well as the ex-wife to George Lucas, is apparently furious over the new Star Wars sequels and thinks they butchered a legacy. I feel like I (mostly) disagree with her. But then again, Star Wars has become one of the biggest, and also most polarizing franchises in history. Even Derek and I don't see eye-to-eye on all things Star Wars. So, we discuss her beef with the new movies, and then talk about some of our likes and dislikes about what has gone on with the franchise.

Music has changed a lot over the past few decades. How we make it, how we listen to it, how it's distributed, how it's promoted...they have all changed drastically. (Some for the better, some for the worse.) But we now live in an era where artists can have repeated chart topping hits and still be completely 'unknown' by the general public. And other artists that have almost no traditional exposure, but become household names and sell out arenas. The 1980s were the decade of one-hit wonders, are the 2020s the decade of the no-hit wonders?

It's that time of year when 'back to school' is at the to of (nearly) everyone's minds. We talk about what back to school is like now having school age kids, as well as a trip down memory lane of some of the best and worst back to school memories.

From the cliff divers of Casa Bonita, to the tropical birds of the Rainforest Café, to the foul-mouthed servers at Dick's Last Resort. We talk about theme restaurants in the week's podcast. Some of the best, some of the worst, and some that I can't believe even exist. What is a theme restaurant near you that is worth visiting?

He-Man was one of my beloved heroes as a kid. But when I grew up and went back to watch show the show, I was underwhelmed, to say the least. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe has been rebooted a number of times, but after seeing the preview for the new Kevin Smith-led Netflix adaptation, I'm hopeful the Masters of the Universe might finally live up the hype I made up for them as a kid.

Pop culture, and TV shows in particular, is known to have its fair share of annoying characters. Sometimes it drives the plot, sometimes it adds to the story, sometimes it's bad acting or writing. And, as it is with many things, one person's 'annoying character' is another person's favorite. Who do you think is one of the most annoying characters ever made? (If you say 'Derek and Beano' I'm taking ten points from Gryffindor.)
