  • 23-50 The Forgotten Factor Of Health

Episode 23:50 The Forgotten Factor Of Health

Ask anyone what it takes to be healthy and you'll probably hear the following response:

    Exercise and eat right!

That's certainly a good answer, but it's incomplete.

Incomplete because there is MORE to being healthy than just diet and exercise.

Specifically, there are Mental and Emotional factors that play a huge role in determining one's level of health.

On this episode we share four real-life stories from the previous two weeks… stories that provide insight into the role of mental and emotional factors on health.

Factors that have nothing to do with exercising and eating right.

Give this episode a good listen as it may provide the piece that's been missing in your health quest.

And, as always, please share it with a friend.

    Thanks!

Episode 23:47 Want To Be Healthier? Make EVERY Day Thanksgiving

What if EVERY day was Thanksgiving?

Not for the turkey, dressing and sweet potato pie.

That is, what if, on a daily basis, we practiced having "an attitude of gratitude?"

    Would we all be healthier?

    Of course, we would.

We'd sleep better… fight off colds better… digest our foods better… and feel better!

On this episode we talk about the powerful impact of "giving thanks."

Specifically, we discuss simple ways to incorporate an "attitude of gratitude" into our daily lives.

Give this episode a good listen.

Symptoms are messages from your body that something is wrong.

The key to healing, TRUE healing, is to identify and correct whatever is CAUSING the symptoms.

To identify and correct whatever is "off."

We talked about the importance of symptoms… and natural ways to correct them… in the past two episodes of the Get Healthy Alabama podcast.

Episode 23:45 How To Heal Your Body Naturally

Please answer the following Yes/No questions.

    Thanks!

    - Is your blood pressure high?

    - Is your bodyweight higher than it should be?

    - Is your A1C (blood sugar) level high (above 5.6)?

    - Do you need caffeine to "get going?"

    - Does your back, or any other part of your body, ache?

  • 23-44 Seven Messages Your Body Is Sending You Regarding Your Health

Episode 23:44 Seven Messages Your Body Is Constantly Sending You Regarding Your Health

We live in a hi-tech world.

A world filled with gadgets and gizmos… all created to make life easier and better.

This is especially true with regard to health care.

Technological advances have given us diagnostic and treatment tools that were only dreamed about in the past.

However, despite all of the "new and improved" tools doctors have at their disposal the truth is that most people's health is getting worse, not better.

For this reason, perhaps it's time that we, as a nation, made a change… a change that involves going back to some basic fundamentals.

Specifically, when it comes to our health, we should start relying more on the messages our bodies are telling us than on the feedback we get from expensive, hi-tech machines.

In this episode we discuss seven "old school" messages our bodies are constantly telling us.

    - Messages about our heath.

    - Messages that are extremely inexpensive and easy to understand.

    - Messages that warn us when something is wrong.

Get each of these messages "right" and you will almost certainly be healthy.

Get any of these messages "wrong" and your health will be heading towards a downwards spiral.

    It's that simple.

Give this episode a good listen and LEARN THE SEVEN MESSAGES as they will give you a tremendous insight into your current, and future, health status.

And, as always, be sure to recommend this episode to a friend.

    Thanks!

  • 23-43 The Interesting Role Vitamin D Plays In Low Testosterone Levels, Infertility, Osteoporosis, Restless Leg Syndrome, Itchy Skin, Hives, And Canker Sores

Episode 23:43 The Interesting Role Vitamin D Plays In Low Testosterone Levels, Infertility, Osteoporosis, Restless Leg Syndrome, Itchy Skin, Hives, And Canker Sores

On the last episode of the Get Healthy Alabama podcast we talked about the role sunshine and Vitamin D play in helping you look better, feel better, lower your cholesterol levels and boost your immunity.

On this episode we take that conversation a step further.

Specifically we discuss how increasing Vitamin D levels can improve fertility in women… and testosterone levels in men.

We also share how Vitamin D works with other vitamins and minerals… most notably Vitamin F (yes, there IS a vitamin F, it's just not recognized by the FDA) and Calcium.

We then explain how imbalances among Vitamin D, Vitamin F and Calcium can result in conditions such as osteoporosis, "leathery" skin, extreme itching, hives, welts, canker sores, and restless legs.

The physiology behind the interplay of these nutrients is fascinating and we do our best to explain it to you.

Give this episode a good listen as it will help you know what to do to prevent and/or treat any of these conditions.

And, as always, please recommend this episode to a friend.

    Thanks!

  • 23-41 Natural Alternatives For The 10 Most Prescribed Drugs: Part 2

Episode 23:41 Natural Alternatives For The 10 Most Prescribed Drugs: Part 2

The following are the ten most prescribed drugs in the United States:

    Lipitor

    Lisinopril

    Albuterol

    Synthroid

    Norvasc

    Gabapentin

    Prilosec

    Metformin

    Amoxicillin

    Prednisone

While the use of prescription drugs certainly has its place, NONE of the drugs listed above do anything to correct the underlying CAUSE.

Not only that, ALL of these drugs have side-effects… some quite dangerous.

There HAS TO be a better way.

    Fortunately, there IS.

A safer, more natural alternative to drugs.

On the last episode we discussed natural alternatives to three of the drugs on the list (Lipitor, Lisinopril and Norvasc).

On this episode we address natural alternatives for the remaining seven.

Please give it a good listen and then share it with a friend.

    Thanks!
