Although the Kares lost that day, he and his teammates were considered the pioneers for one of the great high school football programs in the San Gabriel Valley. Steve went on to a great career in the sound industry and coached countless kids in Kare Youth League for many years. Steve Martin is an incredible man of faith and a tremendous example of perseverance. He joined the organization back when it was called Boys Christian League and has always called it Home. September 17, 2021Fight OnDesmond Reed was a running back and kick returner for the USC Trojans from 2003-2007. He won two national championships and lost a potential third in arguably the greatest college football game of all time against Texas in 2006. Desmond was surrounded by amazing coaches and players during his time at USC. He fought through injuries and stood out as a guy who was willing to do anything to help the team. Desmond played high school football for the Temple City Rams who happen to play against my alma mater, Rio Hondo Prep, tonight at 7:00pm.
