Sonny, Charles, Brock, Jagie, and Hannah cover Episode 5 ("Rei I") and start to really give up on covering 2 episodes at a time . Shinji meets someone lonelier than himself, Gendo shows an emotion for the first time on record, and we spend an alarming amount of runtime inside Rei's cursed apartment.

Sonny, Brock, Charles, and Jagie are joined by special guest Hannah the Sultry Yogi to break down Episode 3 ("A Transfer" / "A Silent Phone") and Episode 4 ("Rain After Running Away" / "Hedgehog's Dilemma"). Charles, Sonny, Brock, and Jagie kick off the actual watch-through by covering the first two episodes of Hideaki Anno's 1995 mecha classic — "Angel Attack" and "Unfamiliar Ceilings" (a.k.a. "The Beast"). Shinji arrives in Tokyo-3, meets his dead-eyed father, gets guilted into piloting a giant purple nightmare, and immediately takes one of the most brutal L's in anime history.

Along the way, we debate Netflix's subtitle crimes, rank the cast on the Horny/Depressed Axis, and get a drop in interview with a VERY special guest.

Welcome to the premiere of Get In The Podcast, Shinji: This is (NOT) a Rewatch!  

In this initial "Session Zero" sync, Charles, Sonny, Brock, and Jagie map out the road ahead as we prepare to dive deep into Hideaki Anno’s 1995 mecha classic, Neon Genesis Evangelion.
