In this week’s episode of Get Informed, America! Dave and Rodney dive into all the recent decisions made by the US Supreme Court. The biggest updates being… SCOTUS refusing Trump’s request to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. Also referred to as “DACA”, it is a https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immigration_to_the_United_States (United States immigration policy) that allows some individuals with unlawful presence in the United States after being brought to the country as children to receive a renewable two-year period of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deferred_action (deferred action) from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deportation (deportation) and become eligible for a https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Employment_authorization_document (work permit) in the U.S. To be eligible for the program, recipients cannot have felonies or serious misdemeanors on their records.

In other news from the American Supreme Court… there was a recent ruling protecting the rights of LGBT workers. This ruling protects gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and transgender employees from being disciplined, fired or turned down for a job based on their sexual orientation.
