Get Into Gate: A Stargate Podcast

Two O'Neills? Two Carters? Two Jacksons?

Two Teal'cs? Say no more!

When SG-1 discover their duplicates have been travelling the galaxy on missions of their own, they're sent to reset to rescue them after they have a fatal run in with Kronos. But can two O'Neills work with each other? And will the mission be jeopardised by the vengeance of two Tealcs?

Did first-timer Rhys guess the twist? How would we all react to our own duplicates? And how low can we go when insulting...ourselves?

Once again, Joz joins us to break down the episode .

Get Into Gate is a weekly celebration of all things STARGATE to you by the team behind Get Into Geek. When we discovered one of our own, Rhys, had never seen one second of STARGATE and was forever left out of our in-jokes throwback references, the rest of the team decided to rediscover it with him and breakdown the series one episode at a time.

Samantha Skynet!

With a M.A.L.P. sent to a planet once inhabited by the Ancients, an electrical surge is sent back through the Gate - disabling parts of SGC. With things back up & running, Carter is found to be overtaken by an AI entity that refuses to give her body up...and sets out to destroy the base.

Why is this the OTHER bad Season 4 episode? Was there are better story in the concept? Listen to find out!

And while we're using Get Into Gate to introduce Rhys to STARGATE, guest starring on this episode is the man who did the same for Brendan to share his thoughts.

All prodigy. No fire starter.

Impressed by a cadet's scientific knowledge, Carter brings the young rookie on an off-world mission, where the team encounter aliens capable of phasing through solid matter.

What monumental continuity mistake does this episode make? What do we make of the new characters? And how does Rhys decide to give Brendan some of his own medicine? Listen to find out!

...well what do you say about an episode like "The Light"?

With a mysterious device on an alien planet turning those who gaze upon it into suicidal addicts, the race is on to find the literal off-switch before it claims SG-1...or something like that.

Like the characters in the episode, we get easily distracted in this week's podcast as we try to find something to talk about...other than the episode itself! Can we make it more exciting? Listen to find out!

ANOTHER Harcesis on Abydos?!

With a mystery boy claiming to be the Harcesis taken back to the SGC, Daniel Jackson's actions take a dark turn that could not only have implications on his team, but the entire planet.

Did Rhys pick the twist ending? What about this episode makes Brendan switch from Daniel to Jack? And what critiques does Matty have about everyone else on the show?

Oooh, things get juicy this week!

A utopian future, the Goa'uld are defeated & the Stargate is public knowledge with the efforts of the SGC embraced the world over - sound too good to be true?

Of course it is, but that's not where it gets interesting - is this episode about an alternate timeline or alternate reality? Or both?

Suffice to say, there are some disagreements within the Get Into Gate team this week. And, just like a good disagreement between Jack & Daniel, all we can say is - enjoy!

General Hammond quits? Say it ain't so!

When General Hammond suddenly calls time on his Air Force career, SG-1 don't buy his reasons. Investigations lead them to involvement from the N.I.D. with connections high up in the American Government!

In this week's podcast, we argue who worse: Kinsey or Maybourne, more ideas for an SGC Christmas Party and Matty has his own, Christopher Judge addition to "The Sounds Of Stargate"...

Teal'c gets tortured & SG-1 try to start a Goa'uld civil war!

When Teal'c let's his passion for the Jaffa Rebellion get the better of him, he finds himself captured, tortured & set to be used as a pawn in the negotiations between warring Goa'uld system lords. Meanwhile, SG-1 aid Jacob/Selmak in his attempts to start a war within the Goa'uld heirachy...what a lot to squeeze into one episode!

In this week's podcast, Brendan brings more music to the show, Rhys finds more reasons to love Teal'c, we all find more reasons to love Apophis (or more accurately, Peter Williams) and ask, who's worse: Jacob Carter or Sam's Dad?

Jack & Teal'c, stuck in a ship - M-I-S-S-I-N-G.

We go them enough - and finally we get to talk about a "Tangent".

When a flight goes wrong, Jack & Teal'c get sent on a collision course with the middle nowhere in deep space. Meanwhile, the SGC go through their black book of allies to try to find help.

In this week's podcast, Rhys gets jealous (of O'Neill) and we break down why this may be one of the best Season 4 episodes.
