At least the story made me laugh!!

This story was just ok. I couldn't get over how easy Louise was duped!!! Yes I'm saying it why would you go along with being in a relationship with a man you can't even stand? Let alone agree to meet his family for a weekend?? Ben was such a whiner oh jeez he actually left her at the movies and took off!! I get it the attraction for the other brothers David and Richard when Ben was suck a bore, but come on Louise have some self respect!! Richard was a prick at least show a bit of tact!! I guess being mega rich means you don't even know how to lock a door people just barge in all the time!! I gave the story 3 stars because the way Louise, Ben and Richard behaved made laugh- yes that's how messed up they are! Oh yes the story must continue and our poor Louise finds herself falling for the arrogant, prick Richard!! Oh Monique is such a hag and I do feel bad for Louise having to tolerate her hatefulness! I must admit Richard seems a bit more taken with Louise and I can't deny I have to see where this train wreck takes them!!! Yay a HEA for Louise!! Louise is in love with Richard and in trouble since he seems to only want sex!! It was a relief to see she became good friends with David after want to get in his bed and ending up in Richard's in the first book! Richard was so much better he shared about his past, was funny and playful and took Louise on something sort of like a "date". It was a bit rushed with the drama at the end- getting in an accident and having amnesia and all whoa talk about a soap opera!! Overall, this one vastly improved from the last and made me laugh!

I liked it...

....but there were pieces of the story missing. The beginning and middle were good. The sexy scenes were just that and very steamy. I felt the connection between Louise and Richard, but the end seemed quickly written, like the author got tired of writing this story and ended it the fastest way she could. *********SPOILER ALERT**********

She gets hit by a car, is in the hospital, and has amnesia. The next paragraph we're reading her inner dialogue about being pregnant and her not ever telling Richard. Then they're at the airport and he confesses his love and she confesses about the baby and now they're getting married. When and how did she even find out about the baby. That's a fairly important part of the happily ever after to never be written. I'm all for a happy ending, but it should make sense how they get there. It shouldn't be rushed, or better yet, barely written.

I enjoy this book, I have the Kindle version. A few too many spanking stories for my personal taste, I enjoy the actual bondage itself. Good for quick reads when you want a short story as you kill some time. No regrets.

These are true?!?!?!

So I'm a little slow. I got this book because I'm becoming a huge fan of Ms. Tyler's anthologies. Fandom plus a certain fondness for BDSM stories? Oh yeah, I was purchasing this. And I was *not* disappointed. These stories are fantastic, and have helped me overcome a childhood aversion to Mr. Rogers.

But these are true?!?!? When I came back here to add my own two cent review, I finally noticed the word "true bondage stories" in the title. So excuse me while I go reread these. I might be awhile...

When It's True, It's Hotter

Pleasure Bound is a hot book full of erotic stories that revolve around bondage. All of the stories are extremely well written, and there are 23 different stories contained in the pages of this book. What makes the stories even more hot is that they all were written by people who actually experienced the stories - they are all real-life experiences. Reading about an attraction to the stern military neighbor can be hot but knowing that it all happened in real-life makes it even more arousing. The stories vary in intensity from the average couple acting out kinky sex to hardcore BDSM enthusiasts at a club. All of the stories include some sort of bondage - for the most part, it's almost always physical bondage although in a couple it takes about being told to stay still and not move. Overall, an extremely hot collection of erotica - Alison Tyler did a great job picking out some amazing stories.

Stories to make you go "Mmmmmmm"

I have to say that I don't quite believe that all of these stories are true, but they are what we've all come to expect from Alison Tyler's taste in sexy stories. Of course Miss Tyler always contributes her fair share to the collection. Stickler For Detail demonstrates her sensitivity to the careful dance of subservience and dominance that ratchets up the desire in true S&M. Almost every story conveys that "Whatever you do to me - it will only make me want you more..." Not all are real bondage, but it doesn't really matter. Some have the spanking motif to get the juices flowing. I never considered either, that a sleeping bag might be a useful way of subduing a big, strong, nature boy.

short stories a glimpse into sub-subculture

this is a compendium of short stories, each a bit of insight into one facet of the gay subculture. there are heart breaking stories as well as others that are a close look at the seedy underbelly present in some cases. Overall it is a good read that I enjoyed. and an education to boot. I wish I had read this book 30 years ago then maybe I wouldn't have made some of the same mistakes.

Think of this book as a wonderful collection of naughty bed time stories. Preston has a wonderful economy of style. There isn't a single wasted word yet the descriptions are so vivid. I recommend this book !

This is what D/s is about to me

It's so easy to wander out into pure fantasy when writing about D&s. While i'm sure he embelished a bit for effect (what author doesn't), Preston captures so wonderfully the ecstacy that comes from releasing control and been totally dominated (even when writing from a Top's perspective). Highly recommended to the novice; it's about as real a perspective on domination and submission as you can expect in erotica.
