The WORST ever British accent - Do not miss it !

Listen to the first story - you'll never forget it ! It is about English & Scottish characters, Drake Stone tells the entire story in what he probable believes are appropriate British accents. If you ever thought Dick Van Dykes 'Cockney'accent in Mary Poppins was suspect - listen to Stone. He mangles every stereotype of mock British and European accent that you ever heard. His Scottish accent mixes an almost credible Southern Irish with strains of 'comic German'. He pronounces Scotlands capital city as - Edenberg - and every other placename equally inaccurately. At first I was amused - then I even laughed out loud - but after 15 minutes it became so overwhelmingly awful that I found that I wasn't following the story anymore. Ultimately, I couldn't bare to hear the name 'Arntey Aarn' (Aunty Ann) any more and turned it off. If you have seen the episode of 'As Time Goes By' on British TV, where the American TV producers are recording Lionel's play at the old Manor House- you will just have a slight incling of what I mean. So, if your nerves will stand it - give it a try. - You will never hear anything its equal again, unless you are very unlucky !! You just might enjoy the laugh ! Just be warned - As for the other stories - sorry but I jchickened out. Just could not face them.

Double Timed It

I purchased this audio book, along with 2 others because they sounded pretty entertaining and they were all in the 2-3 hour range. Perfect when I want to listen to an entire book but don't have 12 to 16 hours to listen. I was so wrong. I should have realized Vonna Harper's writing was geared more toward erotica so that is my fault, but come on... out of a 3 hour audio book, 2 hours were pure sex, and 4 letter words for body parts. I couldn't stand the non-stop sex but wanted to hope the ending would be good so I sped my iPod to 2x (imagine "oh, yeah, now. I have to have it now" with a high-pitched voice). So after listening to lightening-fast sex, I got to the end. The leading man, Stark was made to seem as dumb as a box of rocks. "You mean I don't have to kill them to stop them". Duh. He was okay until that point but then I thought he was too stupid for words. I was really disappointed but I think that if he sex was cut to 1 hour and the plot put into that hour, it would have been a much better book.

If you want a book with a good plot, forget it but if you want erotica, this is the book.

It was bad from beginning to end. The story was bad, and the narrator followed suit. I couldn't wait for it to be over, but I kept listening hoping that there would be some redeem portion, even a miniscule amount. But no; there wasn't. It's not that it's erotica. I listen to and enjoy those types of audiobooks. But this story is not worth a dime. The premise--to save the forrest and hold those accountable for destroying it--s great. But the author failed uncomprisingly in her endeavor to bring any meaningful or enjoyable aspect along with this premise. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is b/c it got so bad at a point that I had to laugh. It was as though the author, surely, must've tried to write a book this bad, like a Saturday Night Live skit ridiculing poor writing and acting by presenting it in exaggerated form. So my being tickled, briefly, added a star. But it's not worth the unintentional humor nor anything else.

It's hard to describe this book. The writing style is very disjointed in my opinion, and the storyline jumps all over the place. Obviously this is what the author intended, but it made things very difficult to follow when done in an audio format. I'm not saying "don't buy it", I'm saying to be aware of this, because some people (such as moi!) have difficulty following this style of writing.

Narrator renders selection difficult to follow.

What would have made Travels with Diana Hunter better?

A reader without a thick European accent.

OK, this is a great sexy read and VERY sexy when it is whispered into your ear as an audiobook

BUT the "heroine" is from Lubbock, Texas and the reader's accent is all wrong. The site's description says that this "is read sensually and expertly by actress and writer Ingrid Pitt." I guess that Ingrid is German - that's 500 miles from Lubbock Texas and makes the book sound as if it's about a girl from Dusseldorf or Dresden

So only 4 stars

I wish I could give it zero!

What a load of absolute rubbish! I actually listened to at least 3/4 of each story and, from the perspective someone who has a true appreciation of erotic literature, this was ridiculuous. It could have been written by a 16 year old boy - seriously, it was that bad. Not a single story had any build up. They simply rushed straight into the sex without any EROTICA at all. Very disappointed. I want a refund.

Girl Fun is Fun!

It is easy to spot the difference between the writing of men and the writing of women. Erotica written by men "for women" still reads like erotica for men. Miranda Forbes seems to have a brilliant sense of what women find erotic. The stories that she has chosen are interesting, exciting and truely reflect the interactions of womyn; dominant or submissive, womyn retain their power, or choose to relinquish their power, but clearly demonstrate that they do not need to be degraded for the sake of a "turn on". If you want hot, sexy stories, for womyn, this is the place.

I have listened to some other series and this series is by far the best.

Excellent Narration

My favorite story was 'Come Dressed Up' - I'm not usually into BDSM elements but this was light and fun. The first person POV was amazingly well written. The "matter of fact" humor was hilarious and lightened the mood so that even someone not into those elements could sit back & enjoy the story.

The other stories were ok. I enjoyed the other cultural eliminates as well, like the British slang.

Honestly this narrator could read the phone book and sound sexy.

Predictable Porn

My first listen in the erotic romance category...not impressed. Memoirs told from a female perspective focusing on how many, how big. I was looking for something with more romance, emotion, feelings. Occassionally titillating, but after a few stories, nothing but boring. Will pass on this author and narrator in the future. Found the narration to be distracting - 1/2 American accent, 1/4 British, 1/4 weird.

Erotica Read By Human Robot

This was unintentionally funny, because the narrator was simply out of her depth in reading an explicit memoir like this. Picture that recorded voice that welcomes you to the mall when you're given your ticket. Picture the recorded voice in the airport that tells you which zones are for loading and unloading. Now imagine that voice reading a dirty memoir. I don't know about you, but I laughed my ass off for the first ten minutes until i realized two things: the entire memoir will sound like this, and the sinking knowledge that I had wasted yet another precious credit...DAMN!!

Don't Waste Your Time

This is about as erotic as a protology exam. I could only get about halfway through. I've given it a single star because there is no rating lower. The author has a good command of the language, but the story is sad and depresing.

Good start, but got too repetitive

I gave this book a chance because I wanted to read something erotic. The first half of the book was great, but after that it seemed to get too repetitive. It's like she kept doing the same things over and over. I mean, how many different ways are there of having sex? I suppose if you judge the book on sexual content alone, it was great, but the plot could have been a bit better. There was not enough depth to the characters.

Taboo for even the brave

This book is 2 tales. The first of Noah and Daisy and how, upon meeting online, discovered they shared a desire for the probably one of the most forbiddens amongst forbidden.

The second is a myth of how a queen was made to bare a half man, half bull.

While I found the myth more palatable merely because it was a myth, even the first tale was well written and though taboo, I could feel the struggle was real for them.

Jazmin Kensington is a great narrator. I think this might be my first by her and although she is more of a story teller than a vocal performer, her style was great for this type of book.

A look into beastiality

While the subject matter was very taboo, these two short stories were well written. The author did an excellent job developing the very detailed and graphic encounters that took place. The narrator delivered a flawless performance as well.

A journey into the forbidden.

Billerosie takes her readers on a journey into the taboo in this book. While this will certainly not be eveyone's cup of tea, these are wonderfully written stories with great character development and graphically described scenes that draw the reader in and allow them to see something raw and forbidden.
