Today I'm joined by screenwriter Eirene Tran Donohue, screenwriter of Lifetime's latest Christmas RomCom "Christmas In The Spotlight", which is inspired by the globally obsessed relationship between pop phenom Taylor Swift, and NFL star Travis Kelce.
The movie, which premieres on November 23 on Lifetime, is inspired by the celebrity couple - though has not direct connection to the pair. Seen as a piece of fan fiction, Eirene sits down with me to chat about her writing background, the importance of showcasing diverse stories and actors on screen, her love for Taylor Swift, and how this swoon worthy film came to be!
I loved getting to dive deep into this film with the mind that created this story, speaking about all of the fun Taylor Swift easter eggs embedded into the script, and of course the themes that will resonate with so many romance readers/watchers. Even if you aren't a fan of Swift, this movie is a holiday classic that anyone will enjoy!!

Today I'm joined by NYT Bestselling author, Georgia Hunter, to chat about her novel and its subsequent Hulu and Disney+ TV adaptation, "We Were The Lucky Ones".
I binge watched all of "We Were The Lucky Ones" in one sitting. I then needed to devour the book. This television series and novel could be my favourite piece of media consumed this year. I immediately knew I had to sit down with the book's author, as well as TV series' writer and executive producer, Georgia Hunter to learn more about the genesis of this story, and adapting the book to screen.
This is the story of one family's survival of the Holocaust, told in the most touching, real and raw way. I absolutely loved getting the chance to sit down with Georgia, who's a grandchild of one of the survivors, to learn more about the research that went into writing this book... and the devoting and work that went into adapting this novel in the most perfect 8-episode mini series.
I was on the brink of crying throughout this whole episode. What an absolute privilege it is to connect with Georgia and hear from her point of view what it was like to bring her family's story to the masses, especially during such trying times for the Jewish people.

Today I'm joined by author Renee Carlino, to chat about her new novel, “This Used To Be Us”.
Renee was my first guest EVER on this podcast just over 2 years ago, so I was so excited to welcome her back on the show!! I have loved every single book of hers to date, and knew I would love her latest release just as much.
We spoke in depth about her film background and what it’s been like adapting her books to the screen (her novel “Wish You Were Here” will be released in 2025, with Julia stiles’ directorial debut!) - and how she manages to write all of her novels so cinematically.
The highlight of this episode for me was getting to ask Renee all about her writing process for this newest release in particular (without any spoilers!), especially focusing on the different storytelling techniques, and her inspiration for the story.
I truly loved this episode so much, and am sure you will too! Make sure to check out Renee’s backlist, as well as her newest novel out right now!

Today I'm sitting down with New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Ashley Poston, to chat about her latest release "A Novel Love Story".
I have been waiting and waiting and WAITING to have Ashley Poston on my podcast, and I am so happy to have finally been able to connect with her to chat about her newest book, which is not just a love story between two characters, but also a love story between a character and her love for books. YES THIS IS FOR US BOOKISH PEEPS!!!!
I've never read a "book within a book" prior to this, and Ashley's execution of magical realism is just absolutely PERFECT. We got to chat about her entire writing background, including the wild success of "The Dead Romantics" and "The Seven Year Slip", as well as what she's working on next (y'all won't BELIEVE!)
This was such a great episode, I hope you all enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed recording it!

Today I'm sitting down with author Alicia Thompson to chat about her latest release, "The Art of Catching Feelings".
This is one of my favourite books I've read this year, and it came in such an unexpected way! I loved getting to chat with Alicia about her writing background, our shared love for Paramore (YES!) and of course do a deep dive of this book.
The trope usage was *chef's kiss*, the text banter was A1, the steam was OFF THE DAMN CHARTS! So much of this book I truly adored, especially how layered and real the characters were.
Take a listen (this one's spoiler free!) and make sure to grab your own copy of this book now!

Today I'm joined by author Kate Spencer to chat about her latest romance novel, "One Last Summer".
This book was such a special read for me, since it's set at my favourite place on earth... sleepaway camp! I was so excited to chat with Kate after learning a bit about her background in entertainment news and improv comedy -- and it was such a treat to discover just how much MORE we had in common!
I loved chatting with Kate in depth about this book, while still remaining completely spoiler-free. We chatted about many of the key themes explored in this book, from work burnout and giving yourself the grace to take time away, self discovery in your 30s, the importance of friendships as you get older, the bliss of falling in love, and why nostalgia in books just feels so good. I hope you'll love listening to this episode just as much as I loved recording it!

Today I'm sitting down with debut romance author, actress, singer and songwriter Pia Mia, to chat about her book "Sand, Sequins and Silicone".
I am so excited to have Pia on the show today, given as I am such a fan of her music (currently am listening to Let's Do It Again as I type this) and couldn't WAIT to read her debut novel!
It was such a pleasure speaking with Pia about her music background, her acting background (YES she was in the "After" movie adaptations -- and Anna Todd herself is the one publishing this book!!!), and of course what it was like to write her first-ever romance novel.
This was such a fun episode, I loved learning more about Pia's life and how she drew inspiration from her experiences in Hollywood to build out this story! Enjoy this episode!

It's timeeeeeeeeee!!!!
Today I’m joined by contributing editor at Vogue and freelance journalist, Michelle Ruiz, to recap the movie adaptation of our shared favourite book, Robinne Lee’s “The Idea Of You”.
I first heard of Michelle when she wrote an article for Vogue back in 2020 about my favourite book. Since then, we’ve both been anxiously awaiting the release of the book’s screen adaptation, a movie now available to stream on Prime Video starring Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine, and directed by Michael Showalter.
I am THRILLED to have Michelle on the show today to dive deep into both of our POVs on this adaptation. As (very) passionate fans of the book, you can imagine we have some critiques. However, what we can say, is that you have never listened to a more comprehensive review of a book to screen adaptation EVER!!
Both of us would love to keep the conversation going, and are looking forward to your thoughts! Please, please, please chime into the conversation below - and share your perspective on the adaptation. We can't wait to hear what you think, too!

Today, my worlds are colliding. I am SO excited to share that I am sitting down with debut romance author and former ABC's Bachelorette, Hannah Brown, to discuss her upcoming book "Mistakes We Never Made".
Prior to joining Bookstagram, I was all about creating online content revolving around ABC's The Bachelor, The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise -- so what a treat it was to be pitched an opportunity to sit down with one of my favourite leads ever - Miss Hannah B!!!!
Hannah's autobiography "God Bless This Mess" was one of the earlier books I reviewed on my page, so I was so thrilled to get to chat with her all about her experience writing a fictional romance novel. We of course chatted all about her time on reality TV, the characters she met and the experiences she lived through - which all then played a major hand and somewhat of an inspiration to the characters, tropes, and plot lines in this book!
This was SUCH a fun episode to record, and I can't wait for you to all listen to it! Since the book releases next month (May 7), this episode is completely spoiler free and the best prequel for pre-ordering your own copy right now!

Today I'm sitting down with author Kelley McNeil to chat about her latest release, "MAYLUNA".
This book has been taking over my social media feed for weeks, so I knew I had to reach out to Kelley to chat with her! If you're someone who is a fan of music love stories, particularly The Idea Of You, Daisy Jones and the Six or Almost Famous... this book is for YOU!
We didn't go too deep into the story with this one, because it's best to go into the book blind! But what a fun conversation!
