Jarod and His Neighbors

Do you like fresh fruits and vegetables from the garden? Do you like to share?

The author,Leela Hope, has written another wonderful story about a new friend Jarod Giraffe. Jarod was a very helpful young giraffe, and helped his dad. He mowed the lawn, he helped his dad in the garden. Now in the garden Jarod and his dad grew some wonderfully looking fruits and veggies. The lawn and the garden in Jarodâs home were the best looking. One day Jarodâs dad discovered the6 had too many fruits and veggies. When you read this book, you will understand exactly what happens.

Adults will enjoy reading this book to their children. The children will enjoy the storyline and the surprise. The illustrations by Leela Hope are bright, vivid and colorful. They depict all of the adventures of Jarod and his dad and their neighbors. The children will understand the lessons to be learned in this book. They are lessons that will not be forgotten. The book is written in rhyme which is one of the best ways to read a story.

A precious lesson that many kids will enjoy and use in their lives

I'd love to have a child like Jarod the Giraffe to water my garden, mow my lawn, trim the bushes, pick apples and other foods from the garden and orchard. But if there's too much food, what do you do? Here's a loving lesson for children illustrated by a colorful and smiley giraffe!

But occasionally there are problems with the verse, the rhythm is off and a few times the meaning of the lines doesn't come through clearly.

Jarod Giraffe picked

Peas and tomatoes.

His dad a spade

And dug up potatoes.

But I'm sure children, especially the younger ones, will enjoy this book

awesome kid's book

Awesome kid's book! A few great stories for bedtime. No better way to get a little extra bonding time with your kids. I know I loved it when I was a kid. I feel like you can't ever have too many books, this is cute story that make a great addition. Your kids will have to use their imaginations, because this only has one picture per story.

The colorful and wonderful presentation added flavor to its totality

A very attractive children's book. The colorful and wonderful presentation added flavor to its totality. Simply written yet gives us huge lessons in life. One is learning to share. Two is giving to the less fortunate ones, paving the way to highlighting the value of being generous. Love reading this to my kids.

A wonderful message in this story of sharing .

I enjoyed this short but very important moral in it as well as the illustrations and easy to read font .Therefore I wish to rate this for five stars as well as recommend this for 2-6 year Olds and or in grades P-2. I received this for free and in return, here is my honest review. Superb work Leela! By Sunny.

Cute quick read

I really enjoyed this cute quick read about the best parts of Autumn. From pumpkins and acorns, to leaves falling, says growing shorter, Thanksgiving - complete with the forest animals sharing what they are grateful for, to brief mentions of bear's long winter's nap, and the flowers spring will bring, this was a fun read for young ones.

Grateful for Great Stories

This story about gratefulness held my 5 year old's attention. After finishing, she said, "Loved it." Had the right ratio of animals and what they were grateful for. A really well planned book with good pictures!

To reuse the same pictures multiple times was boring. Also

I expected this book to have illustrations that were different on each page. To reuse the same pictures multiple times was boring. Also, the formatting keeps the picture SO small. With such limited writing, you'd think the pictures could have filled the page. It should have been more of a picture book that captured the child's imagination and awe during Fall. I was disappointed and bored. Sorry.

Cute children's book!

This was a cute, enjoyable story. My kids liked it. It was simple and fun. The illustrations were beautiful, too.

A great story to share with your family

Very inviting and warm. A great story to share with your family. :) Enjoy!

My grandson was afraid of bats. I bought this book for him to show him what bats are about, and they have feelings too. It's an excellent educational book for children. He's no longer afraid of them, and actually likes them.

Fantastic little book

Fantastic little book! The author writes with such feeling and the illustrations are adorable and accurate. I am a bat biologist and have done fact checking for over 20 children's bat books. This is the first time I became lost in the story of a children's book, and out of everything I have read, this is the first book that I will be giving to my nieces and nephews as gifts. Brave Benny is a much have for any children's library.

Entertaining and Educational!

Brave Benny is a delightful children's book! I love the rhyming style and awesome illustrations! It is educational as well as entertaining, as it shares facts about bats that a lot of children and adults are unaware of. There are also a couple of fun activity pages! I thoroughly enjoyed reading Brave Benny and would recommend it for young and old alike. It is a great unique gift idea, too!

Move over Batman!

A children's book that tells a story about bats as well as providing informative learning materials on their flying and eating habits (and what to do if one gets in your home). Cute pictures as well as puzzles.

Educational and fun!

Such an adorable little book for kids! Teaches And entertains at the same time, with some questions and answers in the back as well as some fun activities. And, Benny is such a cute little bat, too!! âï

Max is back

I picked up Max the Brave because I liked Vere's use of color, and his illustration style. Then as a bonus it was a really fun story as well. I've picked up each additional Max book for the same reason. They are simultaneously fun to look at and to read. Max and Bird is no exception, and is a fun story of friendship. Hoping the next book is headed our way soon.
