my kids liked the book so much I got all eight of them they're cute and colorful fun to read its good practice for learning similar sounds I truly recommend this weather the child is having a hard time reading or a good reader still a good book for practice I have a child with adhd and one who is gifted and both loved this book and read it over and over and understood the related sound

A Must Have For Beginner Readers

We have done the Bob Books and Starfall.com. My 5 year olds were just starting to recognize basic words. One of my twins picked this out at the library. We read it at home and were hooked. Reading became a whole new world to them. I went online right after reading this with them and ordered the first four of the series.

The concept is basic rhyming. Each page has words that end in the same letters, just the first letter is different. I cover up the first letter, they say the ending sound, I uncover the first letter and they sound out that letter then say the word.

A single funny sentence on one page makes it simple for them and they don't get overwhelmed. If they don't know a word, they can look at the picture cue. The illustrations are fun and so are the sentences.

I thank the author for creating this book for kids.

I happen to pick this book up at the library for my kindergartner to read to me, the picture grabbed my attention. He shows signs of struggling at school but with this book he read so well. The "key words" with pics in its own column is excellent. this is easier than the Bob Book collections. i would love to own this set.

It's time for the ABC Hanukkah hunt, a hunt that will take you through the eight-day Festival of Lights. "It's Hanukkah from A to Z. / an alphabet of things to see." Can you see those latkes being fried, the donuts, the menorah, and little sister playing with the dreidel? A is for King Antiochus, a king who was not a friend to the Jews. Traveling through this ABC book there is a full rhyme on each page, many asking the young reader to find something on the page or recall a bit of history they may have learned at home or in Hebrew school. "This calendar show Kislev's here. / Which holiday starts this time of year?" Of course most children know that Kislev is when Festival of Lights begins.

There are many special things that happen during the Festival of Lights, otherwise known as Hanukkah. Do you know what sufganiyout or latkes are? They are very special yummy things that are served during Hanukkah. A sufganiyot is that doughnuts that you just cannot resist. "Sufganiyout! This One's for me. / How many doughnuts do you see?" Hanukkah is a time to be generous and you have to think about who you will help with the coins you put in your tzedakah box. There are all kinds of fun things in this ABC book to check out. Do you know what a shamash candle is? If not you will see one in this book!

This is a marvelous rhyming ABC book that helps young children explore the events of Hanukkah. Each letter is found within the full rhyme, with the letter capitalized. For example, when we look at the letter V, it is within the poem. "All Voices sing a Hanukkah song. / What family member `howls' along?" Of course that family member is the dog. The artwork is bright, bold, colorful, and expresses the childrens' joy as they anticipate Hanukkah events. The poems have that pep that's needed to keep it's young audience captivated. This is a perfect book to use at home or in Hebrew school to help young children learn about Hanukkah. In the back of the book is a brief description of the Hanukkah celebration.

Praxx is Priceless!

Would you listen to Praxx and the Ringing Robot again? Why?

Oh, definitely! I will listen to this whenever I need a five minute giggle or have my infant granddaughters for a while. This was recorded was a talented narrator and was written well.

What did you like best about this story?

The Ringing Robot's vocabulary was so juvenile and funny. I loved it! The narrator made the words three dimensional!

My son's new favourite book!

My six-year-old boy loved this audio book, which he listens to alongside the Kindle version. He loves the narrator's way of bringing the sound effects and noises to life. The story is entertaining, and easy for a little boy to relate to, even though it's set on another planet and all the characters are aliens and robots ;)

Meet the smart princess. The king and his wise counselors are kept busy attempting to find all the answers the princess seeks. With everything available to nurture her mind there is one thing missing. She desperately longs for a friend. Can the sages decipher a way to find her one? No! Their suggestion? Ask the fine princess herself! The princess thinks it is simple and has posters made to ask one very special questions. Whoever can answer it will become her friend.

This is a sweet, rhyming story. Although stated as suitable for ages 4-8 I would say that is more for reading aloud as this book is reasonably long with some more difficult words. (Not dumbed down.) Older children will enjoy reading this story to themselves.

Editing issues? The inside title reads "princes" but that's all I found.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the rhyming, the story and the little lesson at the end. The book, overall was excellent. The illustrations were a disappointment. They were boring, and unexceptional, some of them were repeated, and they actually distracted me from the story. The story and rhyming were so good that I feel this story deserved some wonderful illustrations to go with it (I think that some beautiful watercolor paintings would fit this book well.)

So, I liked this book a lot. The story was cute, the rhyming was good, and the lesson was wonderful, but the pictures were not good.

My 6 yr old daughter had a good time reading this book. The story is about a princess who wants a friend. The princess asks a question and says that the person who will answer it correctly will become her friend.

The rhymes were very nicely constructed throughout the story. One thing that could have been improved upon is that easier words could have been used that a young kid could understand. Its a simple sweet story.

Good theme.. I like it. It is indeed a good read.I enjoy this book alot and happy to have this book to share with my kids. To better understand the meaning of the book its better to read with their parents or grandparents. This book teaches kids the expression of patience, kindness and respect. Self acceptance book is great book. This book provides a strategy that will help you understand the importance of self-confidence and self-esteem and provide tips on how to improve these abstract qualities.The book stresses that positive thinking truly does change our brain. With this book, you can help yourself know what your really want in life, how to handle things you're not used to, and know that loving self first will lead you to knowing what you want in life.
