How can you build a brotherhood in your department? It’s a great feeling to have several of your best friends do the greatest job in the world! Team building and trust can create that brotherhood.

Education in the fire service is not just hands on, it’s in a book or a case study. Are you educated enough to make sound decisions?

Utilizing training recourses not just in gear and SCBA. Computer training is great but it shouldn’t be depended on for top notch training. We talk about getting off the couch and doing work. It’s about the team and going home the next morning, this is my rant!

Leadership in the fire service is an ongoing process through out your career, it never ends. Regardless of rank stop thinking of yourself and start thinking about the the crew. We have to start leading in a forward thinking direction. This is my rant!
