When you finally get to meet a member of a group that you have always dreamed about meeting finally happened!! I sat down with DJ after a few weeks of getting both of our schedules to finally cooperate. I first met DJ at the Utah Snowmobile Expo in October and heard about his awesome business guiding others in the back country on snowmobiles and dirt bikes. He has gained special permission from the Government and received more passes each operating year to guide many amazing adventures with people from all around the world. Way to go!

DJ is more well known in his role with the Nitro Circus crew. He has been featured on a few episodes and in the movie. He is well known for his great video editing abilities which have landed him great opportunities and even the introduction to the Nitro crew. "Don't give up!" That is the theme of Sam Oldham's life. At a young age Sam always wanted a dirt bike. Fast forward 20 plus years and he is making that dream a reality. Creating content that will help the future of the industry, Sam is at the front breaking down the barrier between gas motors and electric bikes. While he is hustling in the industry, he also works on other business, each one that helps him grow every single day. 

As we chase our dreams, we are reminded that we live in a time where instant gratification is the norm. Unfortunately out of the less than 1% that become over night superstars, the rest of us will have to hustle for years to reach our dreams. The struggle is real! But with help and tips from professionals like Sam, we can find success in our lives, no matter how small they may seem. Let's all be like Sam and strive to live our dreams! 

I've personally known Zak for over a decade. He is one of those guys that is naturally talented on a bike or a sled and honestly whatever sport he tries, he has the ability to excel quickly. It took about a year to get out schedules to line up but I was finally able to sit down and record an episode with him.

If you are unfamiliar with Boondockers Film, the videos are of the previous snowmobile season and are filled with big cliff drops, big kickers (jumps), and as the title states, boondocking. Each member of the film has a different set of skills. But they all are driven to be as successful as possible in the backcountry. These guys work hard so they can play hard!

A new lesson was learned in this episode. Motorsports does not only encompass street bikes, dirt bikes, utv, atv, snowmobiles, or jet skis. It encompasses all motor racing. In fact Oxford dictionary states: "[Motorsports] A sport involving the racing of motor vehicles, especially cars and motorcycles." 

Sitting down with these two female racers was an incredible experience. Both bring so much value to the industry. Sarah started out with a different dream but when those dreams did not realize, she moved into motorsports, and we are glad she did! She raised her now 18 year old daughter in the industry and now they compete head to head in Off-Road Trucks!

Fresh eyes in the industry can be really good or really bad. It all depends on what the eyes see. Jody comes from a very different but not so different industry and brings great ideas with her fresh eyes into the Motorsport industry. With a golf background, Jody has helped so many others enjoy the golf industry from introductions and never forget experiences to supporting and coaching athletes. What Jody has learned in the golf industry, she is now implementing into the Motorsport industry, and she is changing the total experience for all participants.

I sat down with two beginner motocross racers and their friend/coach to learn more about what it is like coming into the industry at a young age. I found that the industry is still changing but still has room for improvement.

Coaching other people doesn't come easy. It takes time, dedication, and practice to help others succeed. If you are not practicing what you preach, then how can you effectively coach others?

Alex has taken his two decades of riding and racing sport bikes and turned his passion into helping others. With time and dedication he has helped hundreds of other riders perform better on the track and on the street.

What does dedication in the industry look like? Time, money, passion, drive, and tons of hard work. Brandan Leith spent much of his younger years with one goal in mind, make it to the big leagues in Motocross. With a strong dedication and help from his father, then his girlfriend, Brandan made those goals happen. 

With the support of his family Brandan traveled to California often and even lived there so he could focus on his career. As he progressed in the Motocross world, he eventually was able to transition into Supercross and bring his skills with him. With 19 years of racing, Brandan learned how to manage his life and find success helping others. After a great career, Brandan is transitioning into a different career, taking on the family business to support his future family.
