This is a interesting listen. A bit over the top but I wouldn't give its low rating. If you have an extra credit go ahead and get it. There are some hot parts and some sad parts.

Missing chapters

This is the flirts time that I have encountered this but the whole ending of the story is missing so I don't even know how the gang found her or even if they did find her. So not happy with the ending.

Slow and repetitive

Although the narrator did a decent job, he can't change a dull story. I simply could not find much to keep my interest and that's unfortunate. I tend to rate on the high side but a 3 overall was as much as I could rate the story.

One of my favourites!

I love Emily Tilton's books and have read the whole institute series as well as a few of her others. This is by far my favourite so far. There is the expected steaming hot sex and punishments but the school theme adds a whole other element and it works really well xxx

Really enjoyable

The Story was really good. Narrator was great. I like romance and some fantasy. This had both, mmf bi relationship. But if your ok with that you will enjoy this book.

I received a free copy of this audiobook to listen to and review for Wicked Reads.

72 Hours was my first purposeful attempt to listen to a mystery and/or romantic suspense audiobook. Ive been wary about it simply because I was afraid Id miss nuances in the story by listening to it instead of reading it. Yet when the opportunity to review this audiobook arose, the description and Michael Pauleys voice made it impossible to resist. Im so glad I didnt!

London sets the tension levels at high from the very beginning and Pauleys vocal talents heighten it even further because with the audiobook, the listener can literally hear the stress in Tanners voice. As the story is told from Tanners point of view, were privy to his frustration and worry about the situation that has led his colleagues to his front door, hoping to use Tanners trailer as a safe house for Niall, his former partner and lover. Although it takes a while before we learn what led to their breakup and Tanners departure from the team, it becomes obvious rather quickly that neither relationship ended on a positive note. Despite three months having passed, the wounds are still raw and the animosity between Tanner and Niall is palpable. Their relationship is one that exemplifies the saying, Theres a fine line between love and hate. At least from Tanners point of view it does and his hate is so strong that it tamps down on his attraction and feelings for Niall. So even as Tanner and Niall call a truce and work together to discover who is targeting the team members, they still have to deal with the attraction and deeper feelings between them.

In an effort not to spoil the book for other readers (or listeners), Im going to try stay vague and keep the details at a minimum in regards to the suspense elements of the story. Because Tanner distanced himself from his colleagues during his suspension, he was unaware of the attacks on the team until they showed up. Yet despite his distancing, its apparent that he cares about his teammates and the danger theyre facing, and those in charge play on that concern to obtain his cooperating in hiding Niall. The person behind the attacks plays upon the connections between the team members, their knowledge of one anothers strengths and weaknesses, and the conflicts between them, and does this in order to lay a trail that causes Tanner and Niall to suspect one of their teammates. The false leads are laid so well that its easy to believe in the scapegoats guilt.

There are three separate stories, treating a menage differently If you like reading a menage these three books are all hot without any of the m/m action that some have Generally fast listens

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Not much. The first and second story is more happy for now, than happily ever after (which I prefer). I prefer my heroines to not have such a potty mouth for no reason, but still the stories were decent for what they are.

If youve listened to books by Simone Carter before, how does this one compare?

The other book I read by Simone Carter was a much better read (Billionaire Romance: The Billionaire and the Babysitter).

What about Lissa Blackwells performance did you like?

I have come to learn that no matter the story, you can't go wrong with the likes of Lissa Blackwell as the narrator.

Did Billionaire Menage inspire you to do anything?

It was definitely a sexy read and would be something that I would enjoy reading to my mate to help get the juices following.

I have absolutely loved this series. I enjoy a good love story, and this one kept me coming back.

Heartwarming Final episodes

I fell in love with this series the instant that I started reading the first episodes. Reading how the characters grow and develop through out this series has made me lose sleep just to finish each episode. The final 3 episodes were both heartwarming and sad at the same time. Heartwarming in that you see the full transformations of Alex becoming a Mom to Ryan as well as Ryan accepting Alex as his mom. Also seeing the relationship of Alex and Kaylee come to a heartfelt decision about their future.. The most surprising transformation was that of Gail finally accepting Alex as someone other than Kaylee's roommate. The sex scenes were intense and orgasmic. My only complaint is that I wish this was not the end of the series because I felt like where it ended while fitting for the couple, was rushed and left me want in at least another 2 or 3 episodes to see how this couple is planning and having their wedding. Especially since their honeymoon see would have been orgasmic. And I would have liked more interaction with Ryan's dad. With that being said though This book is worth the time to read. Definitely want to read more from Alex Porters books!

Branding Her in Book 6, Episodes 11 - 13, comes to its finale.

I've read each book in this series. The author is a masterful storyteller. Each new book added to the overall plot and character development in this series. These books could be read as stand alones because they are so interesting without ever needing to fall back on any clumsy cliffhangers.

More Realism Please

While portions of Half Moon Bay were entertaining, the basic premise seemed too far fetched to be entertaining. Amy, a brilliant young woman with a scarred face just happened to be in an accident where that part of her face was damaged, while she was hiding from her former boss, a violent criminal.

Although Amy's story was heart-breaking and griping, it didn't make sense that she refused to trust anyone in the federal government, just because the safe house where she was living was compromised. Hitchhiking is never a good idea.

I wanted to Amy to learn how to take care of herself - get a gun, take self-defense classes, do something - rather than hope that a man would be there to protect her. The author stressed Amy's high IQ, so I guess that I expected more.

Could have been a great story!

What would have made Half Moon Bay better?

The narration was so strange! Odd intonations by the narrator and the attempt at performing different voices was just terrible.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I would recommend more and better research into the medical references and listening technology. It was very elementary and borderline ridiculous.

How could the performance have been better?

Spend some time with different voices and maybe make them sound believable rather than distracting?

Loved James and Sonja story from the fighting forplay, Sonja's mixed up feelings and age difference to the very hot sex scenes and everything in between I couldn't put it down.

Great read

Loved the conflict in this one. She nailed it with the "victim" in Sonja and the "bullheadedness" in James. All around great read.

Defensive Heart by Dorothy Shaw - call in sick from work, and have a good read!

Defensive Heart by Dorothy Shaw â well letâs have a chat. Overall it is a well written text, and doesnât have those annoying grammatical typos that seem to be prevalent and get past editing staff these days. There are two protagonists (my English teachers would love me!), and several antagonists (daughter, ex-husband) in the story. Tattooed and sexy 30-something bad-boy meets stickup her aXX 40-something reserved corporate woman. As if thatâs not complicated enough thereâs her daughter, her ex-husband, and of course her personal baggage that she wears like an impenetrable shroud. Can our delicious bad-boy remove her stick impediment? Well I wonât say, but youâll enjoy every minute of his attempts to woo her to the âdark sideâ, and youâll be frustrated by her inability to broaden her point of view and let LOVE come into her life. Go Team Donnelly!! Ms. Shaw skillfully pulls you into the lives of these fully developed characters; you probably have an example of every one of them in your lives. Of course thereâs lot of opportunities for sexual hyperbole, and Ms. Shaw takes those opportunities fully in hand (smirk). I usually read historical or paranormal romance novels so this novel is quite different for me, but itâs an engaging and sometimes frustrating (oh that stick!) novel that I enjoyed reading.
