    Publisher's Summary:
It is now 20 years since this iconic royal figure died at the tragically young age of 36 in a Paris car crash. Her powerful legacy lives on through her sons, Princes William and Harry, and a new generation is becoming aware of her extraordinary life for the first time.
Released on what would have been Princess Diana's 56th birthday, this collection of quotes celebrates the life she led, her achievements as a campaigner, philanthropist, and mother as well as the hardships she endured. The book takes us from Diana's troubled childhood, through her rushed and ultimately unhappy marriage to Prince Charles and the uneasy relationship with the Royal Family, to her last years of failed flings and untimely death.
But it also highlights the depths of her care and compassion, her unshakable love of family, her groundbreaking campaigns on AIDS and land mines and her cheeky, sometimes risqué, sense of humor. Beautiful and vulnerable, and one of the most popular and most photographed public figures, she lived the whole of her adult life in the glare of an intense media spotlight yet managed to retain her dignity and identity.
In this first ever comprehensive collection of Diana's most memorable quotes, veteran royal reporter Phil Dampier reveals the heart and soul of an incredible woman who is missed by millions around the world.
Phil Dampier has chosen a selection of her most memorable quotes that reveal the personality of the woman behind the tiara; the woman who said "don't call me an icon", but remains one of Britain's most iconic figures 20 years on.

    Five Stars
    Great reading.
Diana, I'm Going to be Me
A small very quick read. Approx. 84 pages of large type and generously spaced. I expected a book of memorable quotes, which there are some, however there are mostly comments made by Diana when she was interviewed at various times in her life. I like most books on Diana and have many.
    Ok but tedious
So much repeating. Nothing new and awfully written. What a waste of an hour. Would not buy or read again.
    Perhaps better as a magazine?
A collection of Diana quotes. I'm a Diana fan, but I think this could have been available as a magazine. No photographs. Not sure it's worth the $8.95.

Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 17 votes

During the great industrial age, Andrew Carnegie was in a class of his own. Also known as a great steel baron, Carnegie believed in investing in philanthropic causes and the future of mankind. One of Carnegie's most notorious sayings was that any man that dies rich - dies disgraced.
Although born in Scotland, Andrew Carnegie immigrated to the United States with his parents as a young child. He began his climb to the top as a modest errand boy and eventually moved into the steel industry. By the time he was an adult, Carnegie was one of the richest men in the country. Known as a generous man, he spent a great deal of his fortune investing in organizations that aimed to advance social progress and improve conditions for people of all classes. Andrew Carnegie was also intensely interested in world peace and the security of democracy.

    A Remarkable Life Story
Would you listen to The Autobiography of Andrew Carnegie & The Gospel of Wealth again? Why?
Yes...The entire life of Andrew Carnegie turned out to be quite intriguing. From coming to America and working in a factory to eventually becoming a steel tycoon, and achieving the accomplishments he did in life, to the unselfish acts and legacy he left behind made this book a real pleasure to listen to.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Autobiography of Andrew Carnegie & The Gospel of Wealth?
The fact that he donated much of his wealth towards helping humanity and building libraries in the latter part of his life was simply amazing.
What does David McCallion bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
David McCallion did this book great justice. His Scottish accent added a great touch to the narration. His character voices were also a nice touch, along with a pace that kept your interest the entire way.
    A Truely INCREDIBLE Human Being
What made the experience of listening to The Autobiography of Andrew Carnegie & The Gospel of Wealth the most enjoyable?
This was a very enlightening autobiography about Andrew Carnegie which showed what a true philanthropist he was, and what a big heart the man had. It gives great insight of how Carnegie came into his fortune, becoming one of the wealthiest businessmen of his time, but the most intriguing aspect of this book for me was the fact that money and greed didnt seem to fuel him like it does with most of todays elite. Carnegie gave back out of the goodness of his heart, which shows what his true ambition in life was... caring about humanity rather than growing his wealth.
What does David McCallion bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
Hats off to David McCallion, he did a wonderful job going between the standard narration voice and the Scottish accents throughout the book which gave it a great feel.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Not a single moment, but the overall life that this man had, and where he came from to what he became, and how he gave back to those he didn't know makes you wish that we had someone like him to look up to in our generation today.

    Publisher's Summary:
147 Things: My user's guide to the universe, from black holes to belly buttons.
A hilariously brilliant and very personal guide to this thing we call life, from YouTube superstar Jim Chapman.
    Life is weird.
Nothing gives you a sense of perspective like finding out just how weird.
I'm an extremely curious chap and with this book I wanted to share the content of my noggin, because I think these are the 147 things that have helped me through this thing we call life. Sometimes because it shows how lucky we are to be here at all, but often because I'm a moron and learned whatever lesson it taught me the hard way, and I'd like to save you the pain of making the same mistakes (I refer here to the waxing of my pubic hair).
Ever wondered if first times are over-rated (hint: they are), whether you'll ever find the one (hint: there are seven billion of us) or pondered the sheer unlikelihood of the you who is you being in the world right now? If so, then YouTube superstar and fact-obsessed, over-sharer Jim Chapman is here to explain it all - whether it's why your heart actually aches after a break-up, what's happening when you get hangry, or why people are just so plain rude online.
Along the way, we'll find out how much fun he has when Tanya's sleep-talking and why he looked like a gangly T-rex with wonky teeth when he was a teenager. As with his videos, no subject is off-limits, as Jim lifts the lid on his life and his relationships, sharing embarrassing stories and things he's learnt along the way (trust us, the thing about kangaroos will really freak you out).
Read by Jim in his own unique style, this audiobook contains an exclusive interview with Emma Gannon, author of Ctrl + Alt + Del.
    Members Reviews:
    Absolutely amazing.
Its one of the best books. Its interesting and fun. Jim is hilarious and extremely informative.
    Bloody Brilliant!
Over the last day I have listened to every second of 147 things ... minus thing number 64 (or there abouts) about amputation of fingers due to my queesy stomach over this exact thing! Jim has written a book that I can imagine would appeal to everyone, every age (I'm 29) and from anywhere. The facts and anecdotes bring about a full range of emotions, over arched by my pure fascination of what the next 'thing' was going to be. What a brilliant, brilliant book. Thanks Jim!
    Knowledge of the universe
Fantastic read, including anecdotes from Jims life and personal experiences along with many great facts of literally everything the universe has to offer. Even from listening to the audio book I've learnt so many new and quirky facts that I can pass on. I've even told the story about the kangaroos and how the joeys feed on the mothers, spoiler alert, on a night out to break the ice. Highly recommend a read. So much hard work put in by Jim and you can really tell how passionate he is about what's he written.

    Title: To Pixar and Beyond
    Author: Lawrence Levy
    Narrator: Bronson Pinchot
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 7 hrs and 54 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 09-14-17
    Publisher: Audible Studios
Genres: Bios & Memoirs, Business Leaders
    Publisher's Summary:
One day in November 1994, Lawrence Levy received a phone call out of the blue from Steve Jobs, whom he'd never met, offering him a job running Pixar, a little-known company that had already lost Jobs $50 million.
With Pixar's prospects looking bleak, it was with some trepidation that Levy accepted the position. After a few weeks he discovered that the situation was even worse than he'd imagined. Pixar's advertising division just about broke even, its graphics software had few customers, its short films didn't make any money and, on top of all that, Jobs was pushing to take the company public. Everything was riding on the studio's first feature film, codenamed Toy Story, and even then it would have to be one of the most successful animated features of all time....
Full of wisdom on bringing business and creativity together, and recounting the touching story of Levy's enduring friendship with Jobs, To Pixar and Beyond is a fascinating insider's account of one of Hollywood's greatest success stories.
    Critic Reviews:
"This book, like Pixar's story, is truly remarkable." (E&T Magazine)
"A magnifying glass held to the small print that is needed to make magic." (The Sunday Times)
"A charming, upbeat tale...much like one of the studio's own animated features." (Financial Times)
    Members Reviews:
    Pixellent!
I dont normally write reviews unless something really moves me to do so.
I have been a fan of Pixar ever since I saw Luxo Jnr featured on a Childrens animation show when I was about 8 years old, this was then followed by Tin Toy and then Knick Knack. These pictures I was seeing and the characters involved left a mark on me that I would never forget.
When I found this audio book I was taken back to how I felt when I was a kid but at the same time very much in the present as both a business owner and techie. No matter whether I was listening as an adult or as the child in me this story fascinated me on all levels. Hearing how Woody, Buzz and all the rest of the Pixar cast went from a sketch to being alive and making us fall in love with them was an amazing tale.
This book is beautifully balanced between business and pleasure and I cannot rate it enough. It is ok to dream and believe that anything is possible and this book proves that.
Really interesting for toy story buffs
As a big fan of toy story I found this interesting but thats about it.
I didnt learn anything about business or life or much else to be honest. Just the story of toy story.
    Fascinating
I am at an age when the original Toy Story was a film targeted at me and ice grown up watching and loving Pixar movies. I found this a fascinating insight and look back to how it all came to be with the possible exception of the last chapter or two which delves into spiritual enlightenment which isn't quite for me. I'd also say this story in itself would make an interesting movie in itself.

Start Publishing Notes' Summary, Analysis, and Review of Trevor Noah's Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood includes a summary of the audiobook, review, analysis & key takeaways, and detailed "About the Author" section.
Preview: Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood is television star Trevor Noah's memoir about growing up as a mixed-race child - first under apartheid, and then in its wake. Part tribute to his mother, part indictment of his white oppressors, this coming-of-age story paints a vibrant picture of Johannesburg in the 1980s and '90s, and beyond.
Born to a black mother and a white father in 1984, Noah and his family navigated many unusual challenges, on top of the usual hardships faced by black families in that time and place. Noah's parents, an African woman and a Swiss man, had an unusual relationship. They never married, and Noah isn't sure to what degree they were even romantically involved. (They were, at the very least, good friends). His mother was keen to have a child, and his father was to be a glorified sperm donor. But after Noah was born, his father decided that he wanted to be meaningfully involved in his life.

This is my autobiography. It's not a novel; it's my life story where I want to motivate and influence others. It shows lots of emotion, both highs and lows, how to succeed - it shows how I turned 37p into 100 million pounds. I have dyslexia and ADHD which is highlighted as you listen to the book. Due to this I often get sidetracked and have to go back to the original part of the story; again, this is highlighted. I also use some unsavory words, not in a malicious way merely showing my frustrations when not everything goes my way. The book took me just over three years to finish.

    My New Favourite Book!
A frank, unflinching & honest account of what it takes to build a market leading independent business from scratch. A masterclass in both sales and marketing from Neville, full of common sense, contrarian investment gems and razor sharp business acumen. A rollercoaster ride with amazing achievements and truly dark times also.
Neville is a genuine national treasure and this book is a blueprint in how to succeed, not just in business but in life.
    - Jon Gallagher
    Fantastic listen
This is as good as any other biography I've listened to - Elon Musk, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Richard Branson etc. etc. A fantastic account of starting at the bottom and working right to the top. Really enjoyed this and will definitely listen again, a lot to learn here!
    Great story & lessons
I really enjoyed this book, lots of lessons learned with great insights, this is one of my books I will be listening to again, I really enjoyed the honesty of this story.
It helped show me where I am on my journey, I can relate to some of the challenges they faced, great job Neville and thanks for writing this book it has been joy listening too & really helpful.
I highly recommend this book if you enjoy good stories about entrepreneurs with lots of lessons and insights.
    good read
Good read of how hard it can be to succeed.. Persistance is key especially in the tough times.
    Exceptional!
It is one of the best motivational books i have read/listened to in that whilst a biography of your "career" it clearly shows that whilst there may well be hiccups along the way so long as you take at least one step forward each day you will get to wherever you want rather than a do this do that type of book you actually demonstrate it through the biographical element. I feel I know both you and Marion. Whoever did the narrative for you was excellent too I thought it was you until he pronounced Hereward wrong. Thank you!
    Felt bereft when finished!

For those who want to know about television, this is a must read!!!!
I've worked with Larry for a few years and while I enjoyed and admired him on so many levels I never really knew his life's story...
And what a story it is.... a truly self made man, who learned from every experience to build towards the next one... he was right there while television was changing, while the whole entertainment was changing. He was at the forefront of it. And he saw these changes coming.... His book should be compulsory reading in all film and television schools... Great energy, great vision, great honesty...that's Larry!
    Pierre David
    Character
On the surface this book is like having a delightful dinner sharing a friends experiences, but there is a more profound level to this book. A philosophy played out on the canvas of creative problem resolution.a philosophy of ones character.A philosophy that character incorporates respect, integrity, loyalty and honesty.Character traits so needed in our country's current institutions.
I Learned Many Lessons From Larry Gershman
Larry hired me as Editorial Director at WNBC-TV in the mid-70's Terrific guy to work for. ..with great emphasis on community involvement. I can see how his knowledge and success in building WNBC-TV 4 into the premier television station in New York City led to his future national and international achievements.
    Good read!
    WHAT A LIFE!!
A heart warming tale of perseverance, determination, told with honesty, and a lot of humor. Larry Gershman comes from humble beginnings, met many amazing people along the way and has never forgotten where it all began. A great read for anyone interested in the 'good old days' of the television business told by someone who helped shape it! And the Lessons he refers to are both personal and professional. Again, both honest and humorous, the best way to reflect, in this reviewer's opinion.
    Enjoy!
    Loved it! Ave Butensky
Mr. Gershman's thorough accounting of a professional and personal life -- one that resonates with the same people and things that have been on my front page - is a romp through a familiar script of what goes on behind the scenes of the television and film business. In brief, it is a page turner that pushes the reader to want more - to learn of the next chapter and beyond. It reads so very well -- and for me - it is also a reunion with so many people we've come to know. Loved it! Ave Butensky
