This is a great book that gives you deeper insight in how layoffs impact your workforce and culture. It also gives great cues to deal with it or even prepare your people for another era which is much more volatile.

Great book! Is a toolbox that it doesnt gets out of date event it was published in 2005

required reading for school...

This was a required reading for school and is one that I must say I thoroughly enjoyed. Each pages felt necessary and all points seemed so relevant. I'm sure I'll reference this book in my future endeavors!

A lot of hot air

Nothing but hot air in this book. A lot of 'raw raw" stuff but nothing substantial. Don't waste your money and more importantly you time.

Good but needs more practical instructions

overall a very great message much needed in today's corporate world. but I personally prefer books that have more practical practices and instructions to lead you and put you on the right track.

Hi,

Made this my 1st purchase, as i am currantly strugling to design my own bespoke web site from scratch! Came accross this little unique telephone seminar recording about SEO. Have listened to it a number of times whilst in the car over the past few weeks, and found it grew on me and is and will be of great help. Don't expect to listen once and know it all (a miracal or a magic wond), but instead try to use it as a guide. I have been taking down notes - and doing some further homework, (go to website print of sheet etc). Steve cool and calmly talks about aspects of SEO, and humbly shares his knowledge, experience and a number of great tips throughout, when he isnt interupted! Not particularly academic, but pleasing

This is like sitting by the fire listening to a friend wax lyrical on the topic of negotiating. Its not particularly academic, but I found it pleasing, even amusing, to listen to. I've already listened twice, and probably will many more times.

not about negotiating

this is more about how to take care of a customer and who to approach with your product. the only real negotiating topic was what he mentions at the beginning of this book. after that it is just a long story about what customers to approach and how to treat them. also which negotiation books he recommends. boring!!
