Title: Just Representin'

Author: Gilbert Esquivel

Format: Original Recording

Length: 46 mins

Language: English

Release date: 10-30-06

Publisher: Uproar Entertainment

Genres: Comedy, Stand-Up & Jokes

Publisher's Summary:

Gilbert won his first comedy competition, just one year into his stand-up career, at the world-famous Ice House in Pasadena, California. He's been seen on many TV shows, including Que Locos, and was one of the first Latino semi-finalists on BET's ComicView.

His comedy influences are Freddy Prinze, Paul Rodriguez, and Richard Pryor.

Gilbert is committed to being a positive role model for kids caught in inner-city violence. He uses his comedy to reach out and educate teens about life's options.

This audio performance is packed with the funniest string of Mexican jokes you'll ever hear. Just as Foxworthy knows his Rednecks, Gil knows his Mexicans! You have to hear this program to believe how good it is. And you'll be using his jokes for years!

Editorial Reviews:

Animated, exuberant, unrepentant - Gilbert Esquivel's Just Representin' is a spirited rollercoaster ride through the sometimes thorny topic of race in America! Esquivel is shameless, fearless, and just about every other -less you could think of, totally at ease on stage and thoroughly adept at aligning himself with his audience even as he ribs them mercilessly. This sure-footed comedian's sharp jokes revolve largely around Latin American culture in the United States, but his scrutiny falls, eventually, on just about everyone, as his buoyant stage presence and rapid-fire delivery combine to create an explosive auditory event!

Members Reviews:

Latin Laughs

Our entire (mostly Latin) family truly enjoyed this CD. We've listened to it many times and it's especially fun for long drives. Even my Swedish mother laughed her head off (she's a nervous rider). Oh Yeah, you'll never think of the Star Spangled Banner the same way again!

It was at Johnny's that she documented the tribal beats of her co-workers laments, which are mixed with the music of the Uti Uti in this latest album. A world-renowned pole jockeys anthem is "I Love the Penis", used by lap dancers nationwide. Assisted by her world-famous husband, Dick Grande, of Raunchiest Bar Room Songs fame, Dr. Ham has crafted an album that is destined to make it into the Smithsonian as a fine example of psycho-sexual commentary. Girls Gone Raunchy is a combination of the outrageously funny with down-and-dirty raunch.

Editorial Reviews:

From profane performer Dick "The King of Raunchy" Grande (quotes perhaps his own) and his wife, Virginia Ham (an exotic dancer by night), comes the pairs latest noteworthy contribution to the world of entertainment.

In Girls Gone Raunchy, enjoy such sweetly sung soliloquies like "I Love the Penis" - a tender songs that expresses appreciation for the subject in all its fun shapes and sizes. Listeners might also enjoy a nice ballad that expresses a similarly fond sentiment about "the butt".

Needless to say, this one is for listeners of a certain age and temperament.

Editorial Reviews:

Now what do you think a band called Dick Grande and the Dirty Danglers has on its mind? One hint: its not the Irish potato famine. Raunchiest Barroom Songs is a music album in the country style of the early '70s (think Charlie Daniels and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band) and is devoted to one thing and one thing only: making you tap your toes while you laugh at dirty jokes. In this album intended for adults, Kraponew is not an Indian tribe, and a dipstick isnt used to check your oil. Hokey? Yes. Funny? Yes. Funny for an hour? Well....

Yall stop laughing and listen up, cause Evan Lionel is about to get real. The stand-up star from Def Jam All-Stars and BETs Comicview delivers wise words to live by here: "Yall gotta stop f$%&in with each other and be yourself." From his single-parent upbringing in Chicago to the streets of California, Lionels pretty much written the book on keeping it real: as he tells his glitzy L. A. audience, "Im not Will Smith - I didnt grow up like that." From the flophouse to the White House, haters to homeboys, Lionels quick hook humor spares no one, as he piles the punches on whatever fakes he finds.

Title: Under the Influence

Author: Marquez The Greatest

Narrator: uncredited

Format: Original Recording

Length: 51 mins

Language: English

Release date: 10-26-06

Publisher: Uproar Entertainment

Ratings: 5 of 5 out of 1 votes

Genres: Comedy, Stand-Up & Jokes

Publisher's Summary:

With Marquez's potency now recognized, he remains firmly planted in the L.A. sun under the Hollywood stars and continues to crystallize. The influences of Muhammad Ali and Richard Pryor are detectable, but the Greatest's brand of humor is all his own.

Editorial Reviews:

Los Angeles-raised comedian Marquez the Greatest connects with the crowd through inclusive humor about class and racial differences in Under the Influence.

Marquezs humor is often provocative. He describes the conspiracy to kill low-income people through malt liquor. "Think about it," he asks, "what other brand of beer where you can get a six-pack for a dollar?" Once homeless, Marquz also offers a hilarious redefinition of people who are "in denial" about their living situations: "If you living with you parents, you homelessfellas, if you living with a woman and your name appears in none of the bills, guess what? You homeless!"

Fans of comedy along the lines of Chris Rock and Eddie Murphy will appreciate Marquezs high energy, moral authority, and emphatic delivery.
