This week on Get Real with Dr. Deb, we are on week 2 of the White Zephyr Series and looking at the story of David and Bathsheba in 2 Samuel 11. We can describe the lives of believers as shadows and light, the sin and “not sin” that we are always walking in. God gives us beautiful (and tragic) stories of people in the Bible who the Lord redeems with no condemnation against them. In part one of White Zephyr in the Painted Window Series, we are looking at the life of David in 2 Samuel 11. David was a man after God’s own heart, but at the same time had committed almost every sin imaginable. David decided he “needed a break,” allowing a cascade of sin to occur because he took a break not only from his duties as king, but from God. Do we as humans do the same thing?

In the final section of Threads, it is obvious that things are about to get much worse. The characters come together and they do something very significant: They share with each other the words the king had left each of them.
