Format: Unabridged

Spieldauer: 1 hr and 19 mins

Sprache: Deutsch

Title: No Child Left Behind

Author: Jodi Miller

Narrator: Jodi Miller

Format: Original Recording

Length: 52 mins

Language: English

Release date: 03-21-16

Publisher: Uproar Entertainment

Genres: Comedy, Stand-Up & Jokes

Publisher's Summary:

Jodi Miller, comedienne, performer, television and film writer, coach, and leading lady extraordinaire, has been entertaining audiences nationwide with her stand-up comedy for over 16 years. Her animated, energetic comedy is instantly and hilariously relatable, quickly endearing fans on both coasts. Miller's "just got out of bed raspy" voice combined with her spontaneous, quirky facial expressions creates an addictive mix of incredible wit and charm. Never one to shy away from pushing the envelope, Miller's banter covers everything from cats, to singer/songwriters, to how her dad is desperate to get her knocked up.

Miller's innate ability to captivate audiences has landed her appearances on hit shows such as MTV's Rob and Big Black, Chelsea Lately, and Comedy Jam: Entertainers with Bryon Allen, Gotham Comedy Live, Comics Unleashed, CNN's Showbiz Tonight, and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, as well as on Comedy Central, TRU TV, SyFy, GSN, and Playboy Plus. Other credits include being the host of Newsbusted, a weekly online comedy news show, and a writer on the Cinemax series Co-Ed Confidential. In her spare time, Miller co-authored the WTF Series, available in stores and online now. If that's not enough, Miller was named one of the "Five Comics to Watch Out for in 2014" by OC Weekly, and has even taken her talent on four military tours overseas to entertain the troops in Afghanistan.

Though she currently calls Los Angeles home, Miller is a New Jersey native. After graduating from East Stroudsburg University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, her ease in front of the camera helped her score roles on both The Sopranos and Law & Order, and propelled her headfirst into stand-up comedy. Since then, Miller has proven to be a tour de force. As a contestant on Season 9 of America's Got Talent, she is one of the few to receive a standing ovation from all four of the judges!

Title: Upper Middle Trash

Author: John Moses

Narrator: John Moses

Format: Original Recording

Length: 57 mins

Language: English

Release date: 03-21-16

Publisher: Uproar Entertainment

Genres: Comedy, Stand-Up & Jokes

Publisher's Summary:

"John Moses' comedy is definitely on the edge, and the edge is right between evil genius and uncontrollable laughter." (Monsters and Critics)

John Moses has been delightfully offending audiences throughout the United States, Canada, and the UK for more than 10 years. John is always a standout at comedy festivals, including The Boston Comedy Festival, The Asheville Comedy Festival, and the Dark Comedy Festival in Toronto, where he roasted porn legend Ron Jeremy. He released his debut album, On the Edge, on Uproar in 2012. It was voted one of Laughspin.com's 10 Best Comedy Albums of 2012 and given their dubious distinction as The One Album from 2012 You Should Get by a Comedian You Probably Never Heard Of. It is still in regular rotation on Sirius XM's RawDog, The Foxxhole, and Canada Laughs.

In 2013 John became an immediate favorite on AXS TV's Gotham Comedy Live and was featured in their special, Best of Season One. In 2015 he made his second appearance on Gotham Comedy Live and received high praise from the show's host, the iconic Dom Irrera.

In Upper Middle Trash, John talks about his loving, dysfunctional family; heroic tales of alcoholism; being a married product of divorce; revenge; and debauchery, to name just a few topics. The product of a "nice guy" dad and an alcoholic mother who, "when she drinks...can say some of the most hateful things ever uttered," John says. "I take after my mother. I'm a bit of a misogynist. Alcoholism and mental illness run rampant in my family on both sides. I'm part Native. That doesn't help." He continues, "I did all right in school up until my third year of college, when all I did was drink, smoke weed, pop pills, and snort lines. In the last class I attended, the chalkboard was waving in and out. I've been in a lot of fights, probably around thirty." As you might imagine, John's comedy is not for the faint of heart. You either love him or....

He is intelligent; he is controversial; he is off-the-wall funny!

Title: Orally Challenged

Author: Jen Murphy

Narrator: Jen Murphy

Format: Original Recording

Length: 41 mins

Language: English

Release date: 11-01-16

Publisher: Uproar Entertainment

Genres: Comedy, Stand-Up & Jokes

Publisher's Summary:

This pretty, petite firecracker is known for her infectious laugh, her brash style of humor, and for fearlessly addressing topics that most female comics tend to avoid. Jen Murphy fully embraces her gender's overall insanity, and finds the funny in her traditionally male dominated, X-rated subject matter.

Stand-up comedy was not Jen Murphy's first choice for a career. After graduating high school, she attended The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena, CA, and at 21 made the trek to New York City, determined to become a dramatic Broadway actress. Jen spent years waitressing and performing in off, off Broadway stage productions, all the while ignoring countless acting teachers who couldn't help but laugh every time she tried to be dramatic. Eventually, no longer able to ignore the laughter, she gave up on drama and heeded their advice. She began honing her comedic chops with Second City Improv. While there, she formed an improv and sketch comedy group with her classmates, and began performing all over NYC. It wasn't long before she went one step further and ventured onto the stand-up comedy stage. After 13 years as a waitress, Jen permanently traded in her apron for a microphone. Now she travels the world bringing her snort-inducing giggles to the masses.

Jen is at home on stage, and has headlined in clubs throughout Las Vegas and Southern California. This sharp-witted comic has also been seen on ABC's Comics Unleashed w/Byron Allen, Last Comic Standing on NBC, her own half hour special on TLC called This Is Why You're Still Single, Laughs TV on FOX, and the comedic film Dumbbells, released in January 2014. Jen has also had the honor of performing overseas for our troops in Afghanistan, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, and Greece with Armed Forces Entertainment. Orally Challenged is Jen Murphy's second stand-up comedy album. Her first recording size DOES matter, also on Uproar Comedy, is still played in regular rotation on Raw Dog on Sirius XM radio.

Titel: Hier bin ich!

Autor:: Olaf Schubert

Erzähler: Olaf Schubert

Format: Original Recording

Spieldauer: 1 hr and 5 mins

Sprache: Deutsch

Veröffentlichungsdatum: 05-15-16

Herausgeber: Mbs3000

Kategorien: Comedy, Stand-Up & Jokes

Title: I'm an Idiot

Author: Brett Riley

Narrator: Brett Riley

Format: Original Recording

Length: 41 mins

Language: English

Release date: 03-21-16

Publisher: Uproar Entertainment

Genres: Comedy, Stand-Up & Jokes

Publisher's Summary:

A multitalented farm boy from Hutchinson, Kansas, Brett Riley considers himself the proverbial everyman. Everyone who comes across this "slim-fat" white guy with a small-town Kansas demeanor and a friendly "I've met this guy before" face has the same reaction: "Didn't see that coming." An accomplished comedian and vocalist with an endless grab bag of stories, observations, and opinions, his motto is "forget the formula", because "we are the formula, and in a nutshell, we should strive to leave our own footprints rather than follow in those of others".

His comedy career was born at the age of 20, when he was signed up by a friend for an open-mic night. "The club owner said that he was going to give me the light in five minutes, and that means you're done and off stage, no questions asked. But the light never came on, and, at the time where I realized I'd been up there for about 15 minutes, I thanked the crowd and went off. The club owner came up to me and offered me two hundred dollars to come back and open for the guy he had coming in from Memphis, which for us was the big city. That's where it started."

Two years after moving to LA, Brett was stopped in his tracks by a near-fatal car accident. Afraid of being forgotten, he limped back onstage with crutches just two weeks after the accident. Today, after doing stand-up for 15 years, Brett is a crowd favorite. His act is ever evolving, much like himself. His material comes from his real-life experiences. He talks about life as a married dad, his real-life frustrations, and his take on pop culture. His audiences find him totally relatable and engaging. Brett Riley is a stand out performer in a Los Angeles comedy scene that is overflowing with talent. He is a force to be reckoned with!
