Behrouz Gets Lucky is a fun read, especially if you've spent time in San Francisco. Avery Cassell weaves a great tale of love and kink, interspersed with delightful forays about the City. The characters are believable and familiar, and their love story delights the romantic reader. Cassell writes with impeccable attention to detail, thrilling with descriptive sexual encounters as well as hunger-producing accounts of culinary ecstasy.

I appreciate a book that moves well, not getting bogged down in too many side stories or navel-gazing. Behrouz Gets Lucky fits the bill for me, entertaining while offering a glimpse into the lives of aging, kinky queer folk navigating life and love in a city that is shifting under their feet.

I read this book in one sitting while flying across the country. The flight and the read both promised a homecoming to the Bay Area, and both delivered. Cassell writes love, sex, rough and tender romance--and San Francisco itself--as us old timers know it: swift, gripping, hot, surprising, sweet-slow, gorgeous, and real. Sitting at the airport to leave, I find myself missing Behrouz and Lucky, eagerly awaiting their next adventures. Buy the book--buy two--it's great required reading.

Read this book!

I read fiction to escape. I like to travel with characters to a new place, consider their thoughts and feelings, and gain a new experience of myself. In 'Behrouz Gets Lucky' this happened. To my delight, 'middle age' (like me!) is embraced for all it can and should be by Behrouz. Some might experience new fun, sex, clothing and food with these characters. All might experience great commitment to self and family and joyfully celebrated 'middle' life.

This book has intelligent, well drawn characters

Although Behrouz gets Lucky can be accurately placed under "Queer Literature", don't miss out if you happen to be straight, or any combination of humanity. This book has intelligent, well drawn characters, humor, pathos, grittiness and wild sex. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Such a fun book, I smiled on every page. Some of the raunchiest lesbian sex I've ever read, and the portrait Cassell paints of the San Francisco dyke seen it so lovingly honed. I love both of the main characters like old friends.

Excellent Buildup

Super enjoyable imagery and narration of a story that builds up in speed as it unfolds. Getting to know the two characters was like going on a date. Or two, as the details of their lives and personalities are revealed in the dialogue between them. Waiting for the eventual hook up between them was well worth the wait, and for those of us gay men who love skiing, snow camping, tech and integrating our boyfriends into our families and friends we have spent our lives in the snow with, it is an even more enjoyable performance. Kudos to Devyn Morgan and Kevin Chandler for recounting real life romance I have lived and crave more of yet still.

Title From Shakespeare and is so true.

Would you listen to The Clouds Still Hang again? Why?

Spoiler Alert - I want to say kudos to the author / narrator it must of been very therapeutic to get everything out. You left me hanging on what happened to your attackers and i don't forgive you for that. I kind of hope for a follow up book to see what happened to James and why did the official hate him so. I felt so much missery and pain for the child you were and adult the adult you became. I understand trying to reason why you think it's okay to do the things you did but I am saddened that the story focused on what happened after the fact then on what you where thinking at the time. The incident with the boys in a prior book were like dream sequence I couldn't tell if it was real or a figment of your imagination since your weren't sleeping and under work and family stress and the audio was not very clear in a hat part. To come to find out in the later books that you were guilty of the incidents was so shocking and to see how it effected you was astonishing. I like everyone else has no right to judge you, I'm glad that you shared and I feel like i was in group listening to your story. The only downside is did you really tell everything such as did you see Daniel later in life? Or did you not disclose that because you are still married? You grew up with him you knew his family where his dad worked etc. it is weird how it ended and you all never spoke. I feel like this book ended with several cliff hangers or things you touched on but didn't pick back up like your first girlfriend pregnancy, and after 25 hours I thought it would be wrapped up. Thanks for sharing your life with us and I hope that you have forgiven yourself and live the life that makes you happy. Worth the credit.

The Stranger 5 by Chance Christopher & Bella Liddell

The Stranger 5 and the ones before it are all amazing. The only problem I have of it was it said it was a five part series but it ended unfinished. Maybe I read it wrong. If so, will there be more? I hope so. Otherwise I greatly recommended this book and 1, 2, 3 and 4.

Sweet and Tasty.

This Series was a Pleasure to read.

The excitement that the writer was able to steer deep inside me kept me going with each page that i've red.

The development of the story was building up nicely, helping you dwell into the scenery.

The characters are lovely, a bit too much some times but that can be over looked by the warmth that the writer is assigning to them.

Pointless to say that i'm hooked and i shall wait for the next ONE!

A lesbian attraction plus bonus story

The first story is ok. It's about a woman who is unhappily married and gets a hot encounter with her savior, the hotel's female lifeguard.

There is a bonus story of one of the author's Stepbrother romances and it is clearly stated in the audio 'Bonus content' before the title and actual story begins. That story has more surprise moments and humor to it.

Overall, about 3.5 stars.

Sexy Erotic Fun

Would you listen to Out of Breath! Saved by My Lesbian Lifeguard again? Why?

Not what I was hoping for.

I really like f-f romance, but I've never tried an erotica before. I saw this story pop up for free via audiobook boom and thought I'd give it a try. Unfortunately, this probably wasn't the best first choice for an erotica.

It was around 2 hours long; the second half is a different story altogether, some kind of m-f romance (or erotica? not sure) that I had zero interest in so I'm ignoring it / excluding it from the review. Of the 1 hour for this story, about 1/3 of it revolved around the MC's unhappy marriage, including explicit sex with her pompous husband. I didn't particularly like that. The narrator also wasn't very sensual, which took away from the story. I'm going to stay away from erotica from this author.

Glad I didn't pay for it

What disappointed you about Out of Breath! Saved by My Lesbian Lifeguard?

First off it's supposed should be a lesbian book but the first 20 minutes of it is heterosexual sex between a girl and her boyfriend. Then about an hour into the book it all the sudden switches completely to a different book that makes no sense and no transition to lead into it.

Double reads

This is a quick read about a guy whose boyfriend really ignores him and hurts him and two neighbor guys who have noticed. They show him how special he is.

The second story is about two guys who end up having to share a hotel room and bed. One is gay and the other is straight, at least that's what he says. Enjoy I did.

Jesse finally meets someone to give him happiness in life

Clay and Reuben are neighbors of Jesse . They noticed how Jesse is unhappy in his relationship. They want to give him the attention he needs.

Nope. Not as good as the pre-quel. This installment relies on first-person sex (erotica) scenes to advance the story.

Part two

Still loving this series.

There are many outside forces working against Chad. Family members who are not happy with him working in the family business. His affair with the sheriff is cut short. His friendship with Elias is becoming strange. Then there is the brief affair with Kelton. Most of all Chad's past as a male escort comes back to cause trouble. He also finds out that his family home may be in foreclosure. Plus the mystery of how and when is dad died.

I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book.

Good Reading

As the mystery surrounding his fatherâs death only deepens, Chad finds himself without an anchor. Trying to focus on his work at Harte Industries, he throws himself into it and into a relationship with William Kelton, a stranger passing through town with a mission of his own. Will Chad be able to discover what happened to his dad? And will he ever be able to grasp his heartâs desire?

Chad is a little all over the place in this second installment in the Eden series, but with good cause. Everything he thought he knew is being thrown into chaos. More secrets are revealed and even more are hinted at, giving him much to speculate on. More of his true self shows and he continues to grow and become more of a real person than he was at the start of the first book.

William Kelton, better known as Kelt, takes front stage in this novel, edging the attractive police chief off to the side. Passing through town in an effort to find out how his ex-lover, Ken, died. I like Kelt, his dedication to his ex-lover, although theyâd been apart for quite some time, is sweet. Also, I think thereâs more to him than we know so far and I wonder if heâll make an appearance in the next installment.

Following in the footsteps of its predecessor, Edenâs Present ends on one heck of a cliffhanger, stopping right after a major revelation. I was rather stunned by this revelation, thinking it would be one thing when it wound up being something else completely. Needless to say, Iâm anxiously awaiting the next novel in this series! The author has a real talent for building suspense right up to the very last word. The Eden series only gets better and more tangled as we move forward.

Awful!

I wouldn't mind more of the story, but after noticing the narrator did the whole series, I couldn't put myself through it- the narrator was AWFUL. His character voices were ridiculous caricatures, sensual dialogue came off as creepy and sleazy, and the delivery was uneven and random. Do they listen to the narrators before they let them mangle a book, much less a whole series?

Fun to listen to

This story is a continuing from book 1 and is very interesting. It's tell you to be careful about how you deal with new experiences and new loves along with some interesting twist in relationship too.

Me and Her Son was horrible and I am being kind. The story was bad enough but add the narrator and if I could give less than 1 star I would. Not only did the narrator emphasize dialog really weird but his voice sounds more like a senior citizen than a high school senior. The book is only a half hour long and I couldn't get through the whole thing. I will be requesting a refund.

I thought this would be the last of the series but no, there is more to come. I hate all these secrets and would really like someone to come clean already. It's getting frustrating not getting any answers. Everything can't be just about sex. Nathan is right, it needs to be about getting to know Nathan as a person. He needs to be shown love not possession.
