Jesus humbled himself when he came to earth and he did it in the most incredible way—he was willing to make himself nothing and die for us on a cross.

During the time of the judges, God used a man to bring peace to Israel by assassinating a king. This unique account in Scripture shows God’s faithfulness to his promises.

No one wants to be a nobody. To God, we are not. He calls us his special possession as people redeemed by Jesus.

David is called “a man after God’s own heart” in the Bible. Yet, in his desire to cover up his sin, he arranged for Uriah’s death. God used a parable and a prophet to lead him to repentance.

“All things are possible with God.” Our worries and fears take a back seat when we remember the loving purpose of our God.

Moses' desire to rescue his people led him to a hasty decision to kill an Egyptian. God later called him to lead the people out of Egypt.

“Do it all to the glory of God.” God has blessed us so richly in Jesus that we strive to let our lives reflect his love.

The very first crime the Bible records is a murder. Jealousy led Cain to kill his brother Abel. Still, we see God’s faithful love in his dealing with Cain, and the way he deals with us.

“Live at peace with everyone.” Wouldn’t that be great? Because Christ is our defender, we strive to show his love by making peace with others.
