The very first crime the Bible records is a murder. Jealousy led Cain to kill his brother Abel. Still, we see God’s faithful love in his dealing with Cain, and the way he deals with us.

“Live at peace with everyone.” Wouldn’t that be great? Because Christ is our defender, we strive to show his love by making peace with others.

It isn’t easy to think of ourselves as criminals, but all of us have sinned. Yet we have been rescued and justified through Jesus our Savior.

“To live is Christ and to die is gain.” What an attitude to emulate! We are blessed to live for Jesus now and live with him forever.
