Jesus rides into Jerusalem as King amidst shouts of praise. He entered Jerusalem to suffer and die for all people.

In the midst of mockery, pain, and public shame, Jesus loved. He loved his enemies enough to forgive and he loved a crook enough to promise him paradise. The unfathomable love of God is on full display when Jesus dies on the cross.

Satan loves to put up walls in this world. Those divisions melt away when we see that we are all equally loved by our God.

Luke’s description reminds us that Jesus is the all-powerful Son of God yet humble enough to allow himself to be arrested for the sake of our salvation.

Can you picture it? Rejoicing in heaven when someone comes to faith! We rejoice to be a part of God’s desire that all people be saved.

The only thing greater than Jesus’ desire to avoid the cross was his desire to carry out his Father’s plan to save you. His gut-wrenching prayer in the garden outside of Jerusalem shows us the humility and heart of God’s One and Only Son.

Jesus faced temptation for us, and he never failed. His perfection has been given to us.

Jesus knows what it is like to be betrayed. One of his closest friends, Judas, decided that money was worth more than the Messiah. Sin asks us to make that same trade today.

God provides us with opportunities to lend a hand to those who have needs. Jesus’ love for us opens our eyes to ways we can serve others.
