Jesus took on human flesh to carry out God’s plan of salvation. What a gift God gave to us that first Christmas!

The shepherds were the first to hear about Jesus’ birth. They found the Savior and then spread the word about him.

John the Baptist expected a Savior. He prepared the way. But when he was in prison, he wondered if Jesus was the one or if he should expect someone else. Jesus points to his words and works to show he is the long-expected Savior.

Gabriel appeared to Mary with a birth announcement that would not only change her life, but our lives, too.

When we think about Jesus’ coming, we remember that if God kept a record of sins, we would be in trouble. Instead, we are filled with hope in the unfailing love of God we find in our Savior.

The announcement of John’s birth was met with skepticism. Through the forerunner of the Savior, God prepared the way for Jesus.

Like a bridegroom to his bride, Jesus promises he has prepared a place for us and is coming back to take us to be with him. We hold on to his promises as we await his return.

Everything good we have, every blessing we experience comes from the hand of God. We thank and praise, serve and obey him.

Thanksgiving is not only about attitude, but our grateful hearts will also be demonstrated in the thankful lives that we live.

Nothing happens in this life apart from God’s knowledge. Since God will never leave us, we trust he controls all things for our good.
