The Real Jesus Overcomes the Darkness of Doubt

Caring about your family while dying on a cross wasn’t unique to Jesus. Others had loved ones, too. Only Jesus’ death on the cross was making a payment for the sins of those he loved—not just his close family, but each of us.

We believe that Jesus died for all and wants all to be saved. God’s Word helps us form the proper attitude toward all sin—and helps us love all people.

Even as he hung on the cross, the words of Jesus penetrated the heart of a thief hanging next to him. Jesus offered to him the very thing for which he was sacrificing himself—life in paradise with him.

Has your mind ever played the “What if?” game? What if the Bible isn’t true? What if God isn’t real? The Bible assures us that God is everything we need for this life and the life to come.

How many Roman executions included the one being hung on the cross praying for the forgiveness of his executioners? Jesus had come to forgive all people, including his executioners, and us.

Many think that God’s Word is out of touch with reality when it comes to his gift of intimacy. God demonstrates the blessings of using his gift according to his will.

Strength depends on me, right? God demonstrates that we are strongest when we are weak—when we are most dependent on Christ.

God is all-powerful. God is love. Both of those things are true. So why doesn’t he stop all bad things from happening? God’s word provides our answers and those answers are rooted in a cross.

Jesus promises that those who serve others out of love for him will experience the greatness of God's kingdom for eternity.
