The apostle Paul’s trials remind us that our faith will face trials, too. As we come to see the blessings from the trials and turn to God’s promises, our faith grows.

Jesus promised Paul he would testify in Rome. When the Jews plotted to kill Paul, God intervened to spare his life. We know nothing can stop God’s will for us.

Paul faced great opposition from his own people, Jews and Romans. His experiences remind us of how our citizenship truly lies with our LORD in heaven.

The apostle Paul was no stranger to persecution, but he knew from where his help came. As the attacks on Christianity multiply in our world, we find comfort in the love of our Savior.

As Paul headed toward Jerusalem, he encouraged the people of Ephesus to remain faithfully engaged in the ministry. As we share the same message today, we remain devoted to the same gospel by the grace of God.

The third mission journey brought new opportunities for the gospel, especially in Ephesus. God demonstrates the worthlessness of idols and the miraculous blessings of the truth.

Christianity was on trial, but God intervened. God gave Paul and he gives us the courage to know that nothing can stop his word. His love endures forever.

In a city entrenched in idolatry, Paul turned the Greeks from their various idols and gods and pointed them to the one true God. Making known the unknown is something we too have the privilege of doing here in Madison!

The mission continues to a new continent and new cities. Exciting and diverse ministry opportunities met Paul in this new place. More importantly, God’s amazing power continued to display itself in all these locations.

Acts 15 presents a pivotal moment in the history of Christianity. How is a person saved? God led the Jerusalem Council to see and proclaim that salvation comes by faith apart from the Law.
