Martin Luther sought to make his Bible reading meaningful. He called it “braiding a wreath of four strands.” We will consider this practical way of approaching meditating on God’s Word.

Some Christians have known Jesus from a very early age. Others come to faith later in life. The apostle Paul gives instructions for us to keep our faith.

We know God urges us to read and meditate on his Word, but sometimes it is confusing. We want to give reading the Bible top priority, because in it are the words of eternal life.

Everybody wants to be seen as wise. Yet, the world’s wisdom and God’s wisdom are worlds apart. We are wise through Jesus.

God exchanged our sin for the holiness of Christ. Every impure thought, unkind word and sinful action is forgiven in Christ. We have the status of God’s own children who have an inheritance that is out of this world!

We have the one thing we truly need: Jesus’ love. We are redeemed. What we have is what all people need.

People have a lot of hopes and dreams. Ultimately there is only one hope that matters—our hope in Jesus. The hope that we have brings comfort that we want all people to enjoy.

We live in a world that thrives on outrage. “How could they!” We have nothing to prove, so we strive to let love dictate our actions.
