Before Jones, before Bond, there was The Falcon!
To a generation of fans, The Falcon is one of the first and most fondly remembered of all the action heroes - making his appearance in novels, two movie series, a long-running radio drama, and a television show.
Now The Falcon returns in a new series by the modern master of action-adventure, Mark (James Axler) Ellis - author of Doc Savage, The Wild, Wild West, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., and Deathlands and creator of the best-selling Outlanders series!
Evil Resurrected
The specter of the Third Reich casts a terrifying new shadow when the Brotherhood of the Black Sun resurrects a fanatical dream of world conquest.
Ruled by a madman with delusions of godhood, the Brotherhood's ruthless doctrine of mass human sacrifice by nuclear fire counts down to zero hour - but the self-styled Aryan demigod must first recover an ancient artifact that controls the destiny of mankind...and that artifact is in the hands of The Falcon.
The Falcon has no choice but to walk into an escape-proof trap set by the very megalomaniac he must stop at any cost.

An excellent first novel in what looks to be a fun new series
You don't need to know anything about the original Falcon character from past magazine stories, films and TV to enjoy this novel. In fact, I liked the updated, tougher version of the Falcon portrayed by Mark Ellis in this book better than the older versions. Ellis makes him somewhat like a brainier Mack Bolan crossed with James Bond, which I mean as a compliment, since I love both of those characters. The backstory on the cult-like group of villains involved, the Brotherhood, is an interesting and well thought out mix of history and legend. The action scenes are well described and cinematic. The chief villain is as or maybe even more fascinating than the Falcon. All in all, it's an excellent first novel in a new series that I look forward to reading more of.
Fun pulp action novel.
The Saint meets Mack Bolan with a little occultism thrown in the mix. Fun start to a new series, and a good replacement for fans of The Executioner.
Well Written and Fun
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was fun to encounter a lone wolf hero. The Falcon is not a part of a team, and he likes to work alone. That is my type of hero.
Mark Ellis is a pro writer. He knows his stuff. I am looking forward to the next Falcon adventure. From what I have read, two new novels are completed with a third in the works. That is good news.
Old School Hero for a New Age!
If you - like myself - prefer your heroes to be Heroes, I cannot recommend this book strongly enough. Harkening back to "The Falcon" movie series of the 40's and 50's, Mark Ellis takes the reader on a roller coaster ride. Michael Waring is a man who goes *looking* for trouble, and he always manages to find some wherever he goes, along with very nasty Bad Guys and a Damsel in Distress.
If this is the first of a "new" Falcon series, it gets off to one hell of a start! I am eagerly awaiting the next book.

Mark Ellis has done an outstanding job in reviving a forgotten hero. He manages to blend the Falcon from the novels, the movies, and the radio into a uniformly excellent character. Plot goes at a rapid pace and is reminiscent of the Bond and U.N.C.L.E.
