Choices, actions and what comes next

Meganâs life takes a turn when she has to defend herself against the actions of a bully and the actions of her sadly misguided teacher. When a dear friend is near to death as a result, Megan calls for Kendra and finds that there are some deals that are more complicated than she expected. Megan, as a character, has grown in a lot of ways in this work compared to the first. She has more power, she understands magic better and there is a certain strength within her that appears in this story. There is a truth told about how she sees Kendra the Succubus, and in return Kendra admits to something that seems like she never expected, nor can really admit to herself.

The pair are, in a lot of ways, mirrors of each otherâs personalities but the differences seem to be blurring as the story is told with Megan turning a bit away from who she was in the first work. As a whole that character development works well and it is the moments when she has to make a choice, and life with it, that are very telling for her.

In the same way, Kendra, when she returns, is both taken by and taking Megan and there is some very interesting secrets that pass through Kendraâs thoughts that added a lot to who she is. While she is a Succubus, there is something more to her developing in the story. She does, of course, make bargains and in those deals she gains power and favours which I am sure will come back to haunt Megan and her friend at some point. In spite of the âevilâ part of Kendra, there is a tenderness towards Megan that I thought worked well and some of the internal monologue and confusion added to that well.

The erotica comes at moments that fit well into the story, and there is a cost to them for Megan, and for Kendra at certain times. While not over the top in tone, which I liked, the connections made, how Megan learns from the Succubus in more ways than one, made the erotic passages in the story stronger as a whole.

There is character growth, there is an expansion of the story universe, there are new characters brought to the fore that matter and as well some leave the story as well.

Not erotic with terrible grammar and VERY short

I really rarely leave one star reviews. However this one is just that awful. Firstly there is nothing erotic about this book (perhaps I blinked and missed it but I doubt it). It is just barely descriptive and only mentions things but there is no action whatsoever in it. To me it read like something you would give a publisher to describe what the book might be about without getting into any action scenes or fleshed out characters.

Then you have the writing which is full of grammar errors like strangely constructed sentences with multiple comma's that are not placed properly. If this were in print form perhaps it would be 15 pages? Maybe 20-25 tops with double spacing. I call these pamphlets not books but YMMV.

I want to note the subject is not the issue for me - I'm kinky enough to enjoy different fetishes and I read widely in erotica and erotic romance. This one fails on all counts. Take a pass people. Even at the one to two dollar price point it's awful. I wouldn't download this if it was free.

Just an intro.

It was a big disappointment: a very short piece that is much more of an introduction to a story, than a story in and of itself. Very brief erotic moments.

A story that's darkly erotic, pushing the boundaries of not just gender, but sexuality as well

Her Smile is a short tale, but it definitely packs a lot of erotic masking into its pages. It all begins with a dangerous affair and ends with a delicious act of revenge, but in between is some erotic, gender-bending, female masking action.

Harry has been having an affair with Jacqueline, so he's not overly surprised when she shows up at his door, looking for her knight in shining armor. Unfortunately, as he's about to find out, the truth is that he's more destined to be a chump in stretchy latex.

The masking element here is definitely more fantasy than fact, but the amount of detail that Ghostly Writer puts into describing the technology is delightful. It's not as simple as simply putting on a mask and bodysuit - well, it is, but transforming the fantasy to fact requires a little something extra. Harry is unconscious for his transformation, so what we really get is an outside-in look at the experience, but it still makes for some powerful storytelling.

As revenge schemes go, the story behind Her Smile is actually quite clever. There are several betrayals going on here, but they all tie into a story that's darkly erotic, pushing the boundaries of not just gender, but sexuality as well.

I loved it !!!

I really loved the story. The masking element in the story is awesome.

Affairs can be wonderfully exciting and risky. An experience of fun and fantasy with intrigue and intimacy. Revenge can be sweet and sexy while ends are new beginnings. A DEE-lighful read..... I'm looking forward to more from this author.
