Short but very helpful
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
It is a hands on book on irritability and anger.
I was not expecting fast results, and I was wrong.
The method presented in this book is sound, it does not call for a long debate / analysis of every instance of anger that you would encounter. It offers a shortcut instead. I was extremely skeptic about the method but i decided to give a try and follow all the instruction. I was trull surprised when i noticed that this approach really works.
What did you like best about this story?
it's hands on approach.
What about Matt Stones performance did you like?
Very good narrator, his voice is vell matched for the content of the book.
Some good Info, but not worth the price
This little pamphlet essentially advises you to be mindful of what you are feeling. That's always good advice, but this presentation is poor: Very little advice or examples on how to put his idea into practice, very repetitive ( all this info could have been on 1 page - in fact, he sums it up on an index card that he suggests you write up), and for some odd reason he insults The Affordable Care Act, out of nowhere. If the author put some meat into this, it might have been a more helpful purchase. When listening I felt like I was sitting at a timeshare sales pitch in exchange for free ski lift tickets. Not recommended.
Try Pema Chodron ( any book ) or the RAIN meditation by Tara Brach .
Blah, blah, blah, 3x5 index card, blah, blah...
This book wasnt for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
This book was almost entirely preamble to a guaranteed way to overcome irritability, but it never really got to the meat of anything. I have listened to it twice and I didn't glean anything from it other than a 3x5 index card to figure out why you're irritable, then no real solution to help you deal with it. I'm not going to lie. I found myself getting irritated at the book not getting to the point.
