Too Much Sex and Not Enough Story

Not unless I spoke to her personally or received assurance that she would not use the word "grab" ever again or the phrase "there was a nock at the door." Way too much repetitious dialog!

All the sex scenes after the first leaving only illusions to the fact that the they took place if even that was necessary. Read "The Bridges of Madison County."

The only reason I finished the book was to see what happened, which was not too inspiring or fulfilling. After the first sex I fast forwarded through similar events. I am certainly not against literary sexual material if it contributes to the story and does not become the story itself.

The characters. They are unique and heartbreaking at times. Each one having survived and overcome adversity.

My favorite scene was when his niece "interrupts them". It made me laugh. She was smart beyond her years and oh so funny. I love her bluntness.

The HEA always move me. True love does prevail and not just in books.

I have! I just don't know what this book is suppose to be about. so far it been nothing but erotica with the main plot lost in the first couple of chapters. I'm finding it hard to get past chapter 10... Right now I just have to stop listening to it because even skipping some of the last chapter and moving on its still at the same place & time. I'm just wondering if this women is ever going to start looking for the person shes there to find or just keep screwing around with this guy, it maddening.

The second book in this trilogy is awesome! It is a mixture of romance, erotica, emotional healing and mystery and suspense; part of every type of novel I love. Of all the trilogies she's written and I have read, this may very well be my favorite. Considering how much I loved the Stark triolgy, that is saying a lot. This book will take you on a emotional ride, so be prepared. I can't wait to listen to Cole's story. He will be the hardest, of the three knights, to catch and I can't wait to know more about the story behind the dragon tatoo.

Where does Teton Splendor rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?

I found it as enjoyable as all the other audiobooks I have listened to and will be listening to again. I enjoyed Steve Marvel's voice narrating the audiobook. I listened to him narrating Teton Sunrise and was happy to know he would be doing this one also. So far they have all been 5 star audiobooks.

And I enjoyed listening as Raven, no longer feeling as though she didn't belong, grow into a strong and confident woman.

Full of romance, suspense and danger from an old enemy, as they travel through the mountain wilderness, I'm sure you will enjoy this audiobook as much as I did. I am looking forward to the third one in the series. JudyE,

Fun, feel good NA read!

Carrie Wallington is the only daughter of a United States senator. She is nineteen, and after spending a year abroad after high school, has settled on a college all the way across the country from her parents in sunny San Diego. Carrie is adamant that she wants to fit in just like every other student while she is in school, she doesn't want her father's "suits" following her from class to class. She is beautiful, smart, is a philanthropist at her very core, and has a whole lot of attitude.

Finn Coram is a Marine and is the son of Marine. They bleed green, and they are both dedicated to the Corps. Both he and his father work private security detail for Senator Wallington, and Finn just happens to be assigned to Carrie in San Diego, easily playing the role of a surfer boy. He's not particularly happy about having to "babysit the brat" so he didn't give it a second thought when he signed a contract saying that he would not get involved with Carrie romantically. After spending time tailing her he gets to know her and quickly falls in love. Problem is, he hasn't come clean to her about who he really is and Carrie is tired of the lies revolving around her life as a senator's daughter.

Sometimes I hate to admit that I love YA/NA romances as much as I do. I have friends that have kids Carrie's age, but I found this to be a very enjoyable read. Carrie is strong-willed and is ready and willing to become her own woman. She has no problem standing up for what she believes in and what she feels is right. She is not interested in the privileged life she was brought up in, however both she and Finn believe this will be a problem if the senator ever finds out about the two of them. The senator is unlikely to approve of the enlisted Marine, with his tattoos and motorcycle...he is far more interested in a stuffed shirt who will further his political aspirations someday.

Ms. McLaughlin spends a lot of time really developing the characters and the relationships between them. Finn, the rough, tattooed Marine is sweet and emotionally available, making him absolutely swoon worthy. Carrie is a spitfire, who isn't going to let Finn, even though he is in "charge" get his way with everything.

Great, quick read

If you love a quick read that will leave you going awwww, then this book is for you. Haley and Maddox both have grown up with parents that have left them one way or another and they have to pick up the pieces of what was left of their families. Haley's experience with Maddox was a senior prom date arranged by his sister which was also Haley's best friend. That was when they fell in love with each other but never acted in that love. When Haley returns to take care of her aunt, she meets Olivia, her best friend's daughter who is also Maddox's niece. Come join them as they begin the road to healing.

This is a cute, short, clean read that ends in an HEA! I actually listened to the audible version and it was only a couple of hours long. Not a lot of depth to the Story but perfect when you just want a light read. The characters were likable. The narrator did a good job.

Kissed by a Cowboy by Lacy Williams was a great book. I loved reading Haley and Maddox's second chance at love. Haley starts spending time with Maddox's niece Olivia, which gets him reminiscing about their time together and all the dreams he once had. I loved reading this book and recommend it to everyone.

A Great Second Installment

In the first novel we meet Aria. There is a scene where she gives you whiplash. That being said, Aria is a tough nut to crack and in this second novel where she tells her story. The story is extraordinary in an ordinary way. That is, you can actually envision a story evolving similar to this plot. I recommend this is second installment. You'll finish it with a smile on your face.

I totally preordered all four books in this series and eagerly waited from them to release... I got this series on e-book... and was hoping for it to be narrated...

Angel and his cop Gabe really set this entire series off on a grand scale... I loved Angel!!!

I absolutely loved the narrator... as I read this book before, so I really expected a lot from the narrator, as there is a lot of Spanish... Renard Pasquale nailed it!!! He transition from Spanish to English perfectly, and even narrated Angel with a Spanish accent... Perfection!!

Any fan of m/m romance need to have this entire series in their collection... One of the good ones... It has drama (gang/cop action); romance (smexy scene that leave you panting) and last but not least... a storyline (it's a series with reappearing characters).

Literally one of my all time favorite narrations!

Gabe is an NYPD police detective working on the drug crimes in NYC. He investigates Los Ps a gang involved in guns and drugs run by Angelo Pagan. While interrogating Angelo something crazy happens and the previously only straight cop finds himself lusting after the gay criminal.

Angelo, too, finds Gabe intriguing, and despite the obvious craziness and danger in the situation, the two embark on a slow but hot relationship.

Eventually, something will have to change. Gabe cannot stay in his profession and be with Angelo at the same time but what will he choose? His life or his love?

Im going to have to include my review of the Audio with the book here because OMG the two MUST be experienced together! Renard Pasquale NAILS this. He is a WONDER. He did the Brooklyn accent, the Hispanic accent, the Spanish words, the passion, the emotion, the danger all of it impeccably. Avril Ashton writes HOT and DARK romances and Renards voice just works so perfectly here.

While the story seems totally impossible, somehow Avril makes it seem plausible, possible and pre-destined. Gabe and Angelo share that kind of love that really epic love stories are all about.
