Publisher's Summary:
This audiobook is a practical guide to optimizing your life's master controller: the brain. In the name of comfort and security, we have created increasingly complex systems that demand our lives for their maintenance. Systems cannot answer life's most important questions; only you can answer them. The ultimate goal of education, institutions, and expertise should be self-education. Only then will technology serve rather than reign over humanity. Human Technology contains the principles and tools that can return us to self-mastery and the life well lived.

How well do you know yourself?
As I read Human Technology by Dr. Ilchi Lee, I started to ask the question.... How well do I really know myself? Sometime I think I am smart or cute or creative or sad or happy.... but am I really any of those things or am I all of those things? And who says? My parents, my co-workers, my friends, who determines my worth? Then I realized, I do! I have an endless opportunity to create myself over an over again!
By reading HT I realized the infinite possibilities that lay before me. I found the principles in HT are easy to understand and easy to apply to my life. As a manager of my life, I decided to take an active role in the creation of a more healthier, happier and peaceful way of life for myself and for my family.
HT gives you the tools to take an active role in your own life. I highly encourage anyone to read HT and see for themselves the empowerment that springs from within and the endless creation it brings to your own life.
An inspirational guide to life. All the things we should have learned when young
how wonderfull the world would be if we all lived by these principles. This should be the first book we get in school
The Breath of Life - Human Technology
Turn to the back of the book and you will see:
1. Return to your breath and body as tools for your health.
That seems almost overly simplistic, but what is more important than breath? We can go for several days without eating, drinking or sleeping, but we take for granted something we cannot live without for more than a few minutes. Something so basic, so connected with the flow of life in every aspect of our bodies and most of us aren't even doing it properly!
In Human Technology Dr. Lee talks about using breath to control the mind: "By controlling out bodies, we can change our state of mind. With sufficient awareness of our mind, we can more easily alter our physical experience". When you aren't paying attention, to where does your mind wander off?
"Breathing can be used as an important tool to direct the mind".
How many times have you headed out the door, frantic and knowing that no matter what you do at this point you will be late; you start dropping things you are carrying and making more and more mistakes. What happened next? Did you stub your toe? Did you forget something important, or worse, did you get in an accident?
"If you become emotionally upset, do not try to analyze your situation by thinking. Instead, focus on your breathing."
Dr. Lee talks about what we all know, but what so many of us are ignoring. He puts is out there in a simple-to-follow but hard to ignore fashion and keeps you wanting to read on. We all know that when we are frustrated we should just stop and take a deep breath.
