Self-Satisfaction isn't something only a few lucky souls get to enjoy. Anyone can experience true self-satisfaction within their lives, and YES it will take you being willing to make some necessary changes for it to happen.

In my book, Do It For Your SELFIE, I have an entire chapter on what self-satisfaction means, how we are able to have it, and what we can do to get rid of anything that keeps us from living in ways that feel OH SO GOOD!!!

On today's episode, I have a special guest, Sandee Steenstra Byrd, who  shares her own personal experiences on what she had to overcome in order to live her life the way she wanted to. Let me just give you a heads up here and tell you that this is no fairy tale situation. Sandee experienced trauma, trials, and tribulations just like many of us have, AND she decided to take on the responsiblity of not allowing her past to dictate her future.

Let's dive in, but first here's a little bit about our special guest.

My name is Sandee Steenstra Byrd. I am a life & spiritual coach that specializes in Breathwork to release those clouded thoughts, and Laughter Yoga/ Improv Dance/ Good ole fun to bring the joy back into your life.  I am also a facilitator of the Mindfulness Movement RVA.  Something else I enjoy is my title as the owner of Sandee's Sweet Treats.  It's not just about making goodies for people but to have an inspirational message with their treats.  I use my intuition to make the sweet treats, and then provide a spiritual symbolism for why I made that treat.  

I am a warrior for women.  I want to not only  help women heal, but I want to help my community heal.  As I have gone on my healing journey my eyes and mind have become clear enough to see the big picture.  My community needs a leader to bring awareness to Mindfulness and the importance it has not only on individuals but the community as a whole.

How we treat ourselves reflects how we view ourselves, and is an indicator of the type of love we have for ourselves, if any at all. Loving ourselves is part of building a relationship with ourselves. 

If we can spend time and energy on everyone else, why would we give ourselves anything less? Think of the person you love the most outside of yourself, double that amount of love and pour it right back into you.

You show up better for yourself and others, when you love yourself better than anyone else can love you!
