I applaud January Jones for sharing the life struggles and successes of some of her "stand out" radio show guests. As we stumble on the bumps in the road along our own life's journey, it is both encouraging and inspiring to know that others who have faced much greater adversity have come out the other side with their dignity intact and their positive spirit leading them toward a brighter future. This uplifting book was an easy read, laced with important messages for us all. A wonderful story of courage, faith, and giving oneâs self up to Godâs plan.

I won this book from a sign-up in front of B&N where the author was promoting her work. This book came as a bit of a surprise to me as I do not often enjoy testimonials. I tend to feel alienated by the author as they attempt to push a certain theological angle, a specific religion, or even politics through their so called âdevotionalâ material. The other side (which is almost worse) is inspirational âfluffâ and tid-bit theology. This book (happily) is neither of those things. It is a seamless blend of storytelling, personal testimony, narrative, and devotion. At times this book reads like a devotional at other times it reads like a memoir, and although this interchanging style took a bit of getting used to, I think the weave works wonders in the end. This is one womanâs story of keeping her faith and hope alive under extremely dark and painful circumstances.

Really it is all in the title. This book is wonderful story of courage, faith, and giving oneâs self up to Godâs plan.

Well done, Linda Jo Reed! I like the voice of God in your writing, it so personal, thatâs the way he sounds to me too!

Very inspiring!

First of all, I really like the cover and felt like I should at least acknowledge that in my review! Now, on to the content. This was a very encouraging read. After reading some of the author's personal stories, it is really amazing to see how she kept her faith. So many people would have given up on God after going through only a portion of what she went through. She is a true inspiration and I would certainly recommend this book to any Christians who are going through hard times and wondering where God is. The author shared some very honest and serious moments with readers, but also had some fun and shared a few humorous things as well. This book was a real encouragement to me!

An inspiring book

Linda Jo's personal stories are gripping. It's inspiring to read how she persevered through such huge difficulties, more than most of us face. It's a book about how to hold onto faith in hard times and how that faith makes a difference in helping you get through. You can't help but think of issues in your own life and gain a new perspective.
