Getting Real With Your Life
The cover got my attention because it's a hilarious picture of a young boy wearing a funny bathing suit or something and a cowboyish hat. The hat's falling over his eyes but he's laughing and looks like he's about to do a jig. Above the picture is the word "Life". I picked it up, and it wasn't at all what I thought it might be. It was even better! That kid, Randall, is more than funny! He's street-smart, a business wiz in running a company that packages Microsoft events, AND he has lots of time for golf on very nice courses. He's also a great dad; parents can pick up a few good tips.
Actually this is a serious book, and the messages are powerful and practical. But it reads like you're having a conversation with a friend at your kitchen table. You laugh and cry. I shared it with my book group and have enjoyed our discussions about it.
Truly Extraordinary.....
I met Randy Broad randomly about a year and a half ago. I was recovering from a terrible motor cycle accident and Randy just happened to cross my path. A man who is so full of life, energetic and outgoing I would never have guessed that he was a cancer survivor. We shared our stories of our life changing experiences and afterwards Randy gave me a copy of "It's an Extraordinary Life". He thought it would help me through my recovery and it truly did. Wow, I felt honored to have met a man who survived cancer, something that nobody thought he would just as I survived an accident that I was told I would not. "It's an Extraordinary Life" is truly an inspirational novel that made me laugh and cry as Randy tells the story of his life, not his cancer. Randy has inspired me to also share my story with others and I cannot thank him enough. I now strive to live each day of my life as extraordinary and also try to make someone else's extraordinary along the way. What a great feeling. I highly recommend "It's an Extraordinary Life" to anyone who is looking for an inspirational feel good book with a happy ending.
Don't Miss It!
When I picked up It's an Extraordinary Life Don't Miss It I was expecting to get something out of it, I just wasn't expecting to like the book THIS much.
Randall Broad is a man living with cancer. He and his coauthor, June Grushka-Rosen, wrote a book for Broad's kids about the most important lessons he has learned in his life.
